Redefining Experiential Design for the Barclays Premier League Trophy Tour

The Category is Event Branding. In 2008, the world's most-watched football league arrived in India for the first time. We didn't just brand a venue; we established the visual benchmark for international sports marketing in this territory.

As part of our Flashback Series showcasing our legacy portfolio, we are looking back at the comprehensive graphic design and venue transformation executed for this historic trophy tour launch.

When a global heavyweight enters a new market, the visual environment must command the space. The design challenge was to merge local sports culture with the league's strict international identity.

Our team spearheaded the complete environment design, scaling high-impact graphics across the venue to turn a standard athletic facility into an immersive, elite sports arena. From the iconic checkerboard backdrop arrays to precision on-ground signage, every visual touchpoint was engineered to own the frame in media broadcasts.

Graphic Design is visual positioning. We crafted a seamless, repetitive branding architecture that guaranteed sponsors maximum visibility from every camera angle. This meticulous attention to environmental graphics created an instant connection with the audience, making the event feel massive, premium, and unforgettable.

Public Relations is the art of word-of-mouth. A powerful visual anchor needs a strategic megaphone. The PR campaign, masterfully driven by Eddna Samuel leveraged this striking environment to ensure total media dominance, transforming a high-profile corporate showcase into a national sports news milestone.

A brand is not what it says it is; it is what the consumer experiences. This project proved that rigorous graphic alignment combined with targeted public relations creates a lasting brand footprint.

Salim Merchant in the house!

When we met him at his studio and he said he’d come to our office, we couldn’t quiet believe it. When he actually walked in, we still needed a minute! The office, meanwhile, was at its cleanest in years. Clearly, all it needed was the right motivation.

What a week of ideas, conversations and brand building for his upcoming venture. There’s something special about seeing an artist you’ve always admired bring that same passion to building a brand.

Can’t reveal much yet, but what a week it’s been!

A soap occupies a shelf. A brand occupies a place in the mind.

For Minsa, we started with that place.

Created for Kaum, a conglomerate offering 100% halal products across soaps, perfumes, mineral water, soft drinks and healthcare, Minsa needed a clear identity of its own.

At SOSH, we developed the brand name, designed the logo and created the entire soap packaging system. One connected idea, from the name people remember to the pack they recognise.

The Minsa wordmark sits within an ornamental medallion, giving the identity a distinctive signature. Flowing letterforms bring softness. Gold foil adds richness. The emblem carries through from the carton to the embossed soap, building recognition with every encounter.

The packaging tells each variant’s story through colour and ingredients. Deep rose tones introduce Rose Oudh. Charcoal black and vivid botanical greens distinguish Khus. Decorative patterns, a clear visual hierarchy and a consistent brand mark hold the range together.

Different fragrances. One recognisable brand.

That is the role of strategic brand naming, logo design and FMCG packaging design: to give a product a clear identity, a reason to be noticed and a place to belong.

Minsa. Named and designed by SOSH, a branding and packaging design agency in Mumbai.

Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy lives in the moment we have the power to hurt and choose to heal.

In the truth we tell when silence is easier.
In the dignity we extend to someone who disagrees with us.

This Gandhi Jayanti, let our smallest choices carry our strongest values.

Before a detergent cleans a shirt, its packaging has to catch an eye.

National Soap Centre understood the shelf. With three retail outlets in South Mumbai selling leading detergent brands, they wanted to put a brand of their own on it.

The brief was refreshingly honest.
“Something like Tide. But completely different.”

A familiar challenge. Literally.

In retail, colour speaks before the customer reads. Orange can signal energy and cleaning power. Blue can suggest trust. These visual cues appear across competing brands because no single brand owns the entire language of a category.

The challenge is to look familiar enough to belong and distinctive enough to be remembered.

That was our task with ZELO.

At Sosh Design, we created the ZELO logo and washing powder packaging, giving the brand a bold identity, a prominent name and a clear “Triple Power” message. The orange, yellow and blue palette brings energy to the shelf. The diamond device gives the identity a recognisable frame.

Our approach to detergent branding and FMCG packaging design started with one practical question: will someone notice it among the brands they already know?

Because a new laundry detergent needs more than a place on the shelf. It needs a place in the customer’s mind.

From detergent retailer to brand owner. That’s the story behind ZELO.

Looking for ZELO washing powder in South Mumbai? You can purchase it at any of National Soap Centre’s three outlets.

18 years. 13 visiting cards. Apparently, we are our own most difficult client.

Since 2008, our cards have been a playground. Different colours. Different typefaces. Different designs. The brand guidelines would like a word.

For our clients, we believe in focus. Positioning. Consistency. Building an identity that earns a place in the customer’s mind.

For ourselves, the brief is usually, “What if we tried this?”

Then nobody stops us.

We spend so much time making sure our clients stay on brand that our own visiting cards occasionally leave the building.

Call it creative freedom. Call it a branding agency behaving badly.

13 different cards. One consistent obsession.

Our clients’ brands.

Sosh Design. Serious about your branding. Slightly unsupervised with ours.

Most speaker brands compete by adding more colours, more graphics and more visual noise.

For Giraffe, we chose less.

We developed Giraffe as a modern speaker brand built around one clear idea: rise above the noise.

As part of the speaker brand identity design, red became Giraffe’s signature colour. In colour psychology, red communicates energy, confidence, power and excitement. These qualities are closely connected with music and sound. Instead of using gaudy graphics, we built the audio brand identity around one bold colour to create stronger recognition and recall.

The minimal giraffe logo strengthens this positioning. Simple, distinctive and memorable, the speaker logo design gives Giraffe a consistent identity across audio products, packaging and digital platforms.

We also developed the speaker packaging design using natural brown corrugated boxes. The raw texture complements the minimalist speaker branding while reducing unnecessary decorative finishes. This approach helped us create sustainable corrugated packaging that feels natural, responsible and premium.

In a consumer electronics branding category where everyone is trying to look louder, Giraffe stands out by looking simpler.

Because a powerful speaker brand does not need visual noise to be heard.

EXIT NOTES — Lessons From Inside.

Three months. Real briefs. Real deadlines. Real clients. And a lot of learning that doesn’t always come from a textbook.

Meet Saumya, a student from UID Ahmedabad, who spent the last three months interning with us at Sosh Design.

In her Exit Notes, she talks about what changed when classroom learning met the real world understanding clients, working with a team, handling feedback, solving actual design problems, and seeing how ideas move from a screen to something real.

Because college can teach you the principles.
But the workplace teaches you how to apply them.

Here’s Saumya sharing her experience, her learnings, and what these three months taught her beyond the books.

The internship ends. The lessons stay.

A strong brand outlives the launch.

In 2010, Hotel Airways on LBS Marg underwent a complete transformation.

The hotel received a full interior makeover by another team, while we handled the naming and branding.

Hotel Airways became THE ROA.

The name came from “Roi” French for “King.” We adapted it to ROA to make it easier and more natural for the Indian audience to pronounce.

Short. Distinctive. Memorable.

16 years later, the name and identity still stand.

That is what strong branding does.

It doesn’t just change how a business looks.
It changes how it is remembered.
