A post about a project I just shipped.
A recruitment company came to me with a WordPress site that had been sitting untouched for years. Basic pages, stock photos, slow load times. It worked…. but it wasn’t working for them.
I rebuilt everything from scratch.
Here’s what the project actually involved:
Before touching a single line of code… I pulled their Search Console data, crawled the existing site with SEO Spider, mapped every indexed URL and traffic source, and set up 301 redirects so nothing got lost in the migration. SEO preservation first.
Then came the stack decision…. Client wanted fast and modern but had a constraint… existing server, 2GB RAM, 2 vCPUs. If you know modern JS frameworks you know what happens at build time on 2GB RAM. Figured Astro.js SSG + SSR hybrid was the way through. It was.
What got built: yes the desktop version layout is something different it was intentional.
• Complete redesign and rebuild
• Sanity CMS for content management
• Custom contact forms and a bespoke meeting scheduler built from scratch
• APIs security hardened with rate limiting and origin whitelisting
• Full SEO and content strategy handed to the client
• Google Analytics configured
• Cloudflare connected
• Site is now LLM-ready - structured for AI search and answer engines, not just Google
Results: they are pretty good and stable ( images attached with the post)
