Upward spiraling: we left the Asura in the insanely creative hands of MYLES. and Aniruddh Mehta and they produced ecstatic photons and rarefactions. Just one minute from a longer display of audiovisual mastery. 🫡🙌🏽

Who would your dream pick be for making audio/visual/both with the Asura? Answer in the comments below!

Asura ships middle-end November, early bird preorders open now.

Sometime around 2021, Raunaq Sandhu came into the AFA office with an idea and a ton of initiative. Before he joined us officially, Raunaq contributed to the evolution of Animal Factory 2.0 in an instrumental way, bringing our new enclosure and aesthetic to life.

We wish him all the very best with his new design challenge and will miss his energy and enthusiasm around the office!

The Asura does not forget.

An 8 step monophonic sequencer with parameter locks. A randomiser that knows what you’ve shaped and what would sit well beside it. Tap and your patch branches into another timeline, a version of itself that could have been. Press and it drifts continuously between them through the controls you’ve touched, never quite landing in the same place twice.

Does Asura play well with friends? Here it is getting clock from friends-like-family x Bullfrog and sending V/Oct to control the filter. Special thank you to

Have you ever been on the fence about buying an original, aberrant Indian synthesizer from a nutty, obscure Indian company? Hopefully our efforts to thank our early supporters will change your mind.

Asura will begin shipping from October 31. Your early support would mean the world to us - head over to www.animalfactoryamps.com to place your orders.

A couple of things - we do not ship to the EU or UK. If you are in this region, please place your orders with one of our many wonderful retailers. No stores, no scene.

We do ship to the US, but please be aware that tariffs and clearing charges (about 12% as of this day) will apply. We do not cover these.

Thank you for believing in this weird little sonic vandalism outfit from Mumbai. We wouldn’t have been able to deliver these strange devices to the world without your help.

Best wishes, the AFA team and Sanjay Das

Presenting Asura: Arcane analog transistors defile polyphonic wavetable oscillators while you weep in joy and reverence.

Asura, the first synth of its kind from India, is in production and available worldwide starting October 31. Full demo on YouTube, early product information on www.animalfactoryamps.com

Your ears lust for the sacred and the profane; Asura, our first synth, satisfies the desire for both.

It doesn’t sound like anything that came before it, nor does it wish to. Developed painstakingly over 5 years with (Sanjay Das), Asura is the first standalone synthesizer to emerge from India.

Housing a six voice polyphonic wavetable engine, extensive modulation possibilities, granular delay and analog fuzz, every parameter of the Asura can be controlled, sequenced on board, or programmed via MIDI and CV.

Sanjay will be unveiling the Asura in its final form at a very special workshop at our beloved in Neukölln, Thursday 17 September 2026, 17:00. Official availability will be announced in the week of September 21, 2026.

Thank yous: faceplate art by and : and for beta testing; for early feedback.

Big up to the AFA team for putting in a massive effort to make this vision a beautiful, real instrument. .sandhu

Because it does the things your vintage tremolo/filter/fuzz would blush at.
