This announcement helps thousands of cloud customers have a simple-to-use multi-cloud experience with the new Oracle Database Service for Microsoft Azure. Users can migrate or build new applications on Azure and then connect to high-performance and high-availability managed Oracle Database services such as Autonomous Database running on OCI.

Announcing the Exadata X9M Generation—the world’s fastest database platform is now even faster!



Oracle is excited to announce the next generation of the Exadata platform, the latest version of the industry’s fastest and most affordable systems for running Oracle Database. The new Exadata X9M offerings include Oracle Exadata Database Machine X9M, and Exadata Cloud@Customer X9M—the only platform that runs Oracle Autonomous Database in customer data centers. The X9M provides 70% higher read IOPS performance with latencies under 19 microseconds and 87% faster analytic scan throughput. By delivering higher performance at the same price as the previous generation, customers can reduce the costs of running transactional workloads by up to 42 percent, and analytics workloads by up to 47 percent delivering the greatest value to our customers. Oracle also announced the availability of Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance X9M purpose-built to protect Oracle Databases.

Oracle Database 21c is the first Oracle database release with CDB-only architecture. Oracle 20c was announced only CDB architecture but it was not release for on premises. Only for Cloud. That's why i said Oracle 21c is first CDB-only release. Please find the step by step process to install it.
