Position Summary
Client is seeking a full-time Civil Design Engineer to join our in-office team in Costa Mesa. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about land development and looking to advance their career in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. You will work closely with project managers and the engineering team to produce civil design plans and support the successful delivery of development projects. This role requires technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the project team to meet project deadlines and deliver quality results.
Interpret and apply city codes, zoning ordinances, and agency regulations to civil designs.
Prepare grading, storm drain, utility, sewer, as-built, and street improvement plans under the guidance of Project Managers.
Draft technical reports and respond to agency comments and plan checks.
Communicate directly with city and agency reviewers to clarify requirements and ensure project approval.
Support preparation of comment response letters and revisions based on review feedback.

Demonstrate a positive attitude, adaptability, and a desire for continuous learning.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Minimum 4 years of land development experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team.
EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
