JSW Cement wanted to place a tool in the market to address the lack of an architect in the home building activity in Semi urban and rural Karnataka. JSW Cement Home Guide, was designed to provide architectural plans and elevations, for home owners and building contractors as a ready reckoner for direct adoption. It also intends to provide an inspiration and high aspiration to first time home builders and ideas to decorate their house. The book also explores wall patterns that could be built from cement towards ornamentation of the exterior walls of the home building. The cover design and graphic language was inspired by Chittara Art form from Karnataka. All featured homes were designed after extensive regional research for better suitability and acceptability of the home styles from the regions.
