M.J.Shankar Raman
A Computer Science and Engineering graduate from the University of Madras, M.J.Shankar Raman holds his post graduate degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Shankar Raman has more than two decades of rich experience in the IT industry, working for various companies such as HCL Technologies and Wipro Infotech in their R&D Division. He has worked for about a decade with the Cisco engineering team for their network management, security and ISP software.
Currently, he is acting as a project advisor for the Data Sciences and Secure Engineering group in the Computer Science department of IIT (Chennai) in designing and developing indigenous technology solutions in the areas of network and security and data sciences. Shankar Raman has submitted his doctoral thesis in the area of Internet power reduction at IIT Madras, and will be playing a critical role in the Consulting & Advisory practice of Unotech.
V.S.Vasan
V.S.Vasan has been working with several leading IT organization globally, for close to 25 years now, across network management, network appliance development and security domains. As senior technical consultant, Vasan advises different enterprises and institutions such as Secure engineering group in the Computer Science department of IIT Madras in designing and developing indigenous technology solutions.
In addition to playing a pivotal role in Unotech’s Consulting Practice, Vasan delivers training programs in OS, computer networks, programming languages, network security and storage networking at leading IT service companies and premier educational institutions in India. Vasan holds an undergraduate and masters degree from BITS Pilani.
G.S.Madhusudan
With over 30 years of global experience of creating start-ups, engineering diverse IT systems, managing R&D labs, developing marketing strategies and managing sales, G.S.Madhusudan is one of India’s leading technology entrepreneur and management advisor. Madhu, as he is fondly called, leads the Consulting Practice of Unotech.
He coordinates Systems Architecture Research effort in the R.I.S.E. group at IIT Madras, and is the technical and management advisor to several banks, industry consortia, security labs, consulting organizations, and various eGovernance projects. Madhu is the founder of Macaque Labs, a non-profit research organization focused on evangelizing Open Source initiatives. He is also working closely with various industry bodies and IDRBT to encourage Open Source adoption in the BFSI sector.
VIKASH JHA
Vikash is a hard-core techie who has spent the last decade leading and developing mission-critical enterprise level solutions using Open Source technology. He is also the founder of Unotech Software, a leading firm of Open Source IT Specialists. He currently leads a team of 50 techies that deliver path-breaking solutions to leading organizations in the country. On gauging the need for talent and skills in Open Source technologies, Vikash founded the Unotech Academy for the sole purpose of enabling aspiring professionals to efficiently manage and contribute to Open Source technology and also their careers.
Chetna Nagrale
Chetna has extensive experience, spanning a decade, in the areas of Network Security and System Integration as an Analyst, Trainer and Consultant. Building integration approaches between Linux, Microsoft and Solaris technology platforms is her forte. A qualified JBoss and Red Hat Certified Engineer, she heads the Professional Certificate in OS Server Administration Program.
