Applied Electroptics and Instruments (AEI) APPLIED ELECTROPTICS & INSTRUMENTS came into existence in October 1981.

The basic idea in starting this organisation was to manufacture sophisticated scientific and electronic instruments, to serve the ever-developing Indian industries as also to offer import substitution. The people instrumental in setting up this organisation have had varied and protracted experience in the scientific instrumentation, microprocessor and computer fields.
