Question for procurement teams: Have you ever lost a vendor because your internal process was too slow or painful for them?

No shame. It happens more than anyone admits.

The vendor calls it a “red flag.” Your team calls it “just how we do things.” But in a supply chain where good vendors have options, friction is a silent killer.

We’ve heard this story a dozen times:
- Vendor submits quote
- PO gets stuck in approvals for 6 weeks
- Vendor either pulls the quote or stops responding
- You never see it coming because they don’t complain—they just move on

What’s really happening: They’re comparing your process to their other customers. And if you’re slower, harder to work with, or less predictable on payment, you lose.

The cost isn’t just the vendor swap. It’s the smaller pool of suppliers you can choose from. It’s your team stuck in manual workarounds. It’s price premiums from vendors who factor in your admin friction.

So here’s the real question: How many vendors have you quietly lost this year? Not to price. To process.

Your AP team is probably leaving money on the table right now—they just don’t know it yet.

Here’s the thing: a vendor can bill for 500 units, your PO confirms 500, but only 480 actually landed at your warehouse.

Most invoice matching stops at the PO. That means you overpay by 20 units, and nobody catches it.

The fix is simpler than you’d think.

It’s about looking at one more document: the GRN (Goods Receipt Note). What actually showed up.

When that doesn’t line up with the invoice, that’s where the real discrepancies live.

We built SureAlly to do exactly this.
3-way matching + plain language alerts that tell you what’s wrong and where.

Your Finance Controller knows the number. Your CFO doesn’t. It’s hidden in headcount, rework cycles, and vendor disputes. Processing invoices manually isn’t a cost—it’s a tax on growth. What’s your per-invoice cost really running?

DM us. Let’s benchmark your actual number.

Most AI frameworks tell you what to do.

Align executives. Build governance. Pick the right use cases.

But they never tell you how.

Who runs the steering committee? What’s on the agenda? How do you rank use cases when three teams are fighting for budget?

Theory falls apart the moment you walk into a quarterly review.

That’s why we built The CIO’s AI Scaling Playbook.

Inside: → 15-question readiness check you can run this week → Steering committee setup with roles and agendas → Use case scoring system with weights already set → Stakeholder mapping template → KPI dashboard for what actually matters → 90-day action plan broken into three phases

No fluff. No theory. Just tools that work.

Want it? Drop “PLAYBOOK” in the comments. We’ll DM it to you.

AI adoption stalls when it stays an “IT project.”

70% of pilots never make it to production. Not because the technology fails, but because the organisation isn’t built to scale it.

After working with enterprise tech leaders, I’ve seen what separates successful AI rollouts from initiative graveyards.

It comes down to 5 layers:

1️⃣ Executive Alignment: Get the C-suite speaking the same language
2️⃣ Cross-Functional Governance: Build a steering committee that actually works
3️⃣ Use Case Prioritization: Stop chasing shiny objects
4️⃣ Change & Capability Building: Technology is 20%, people are 80%
5️⃣ Metrics That Matter: Move beyond “number of pilots”

AI doesn’t scale itself. Leadership does.

I’ve always loved swimming. I’ve been doing it since my school days, and one day I would love to become a professional scuba diver. Being underwater and exploring a completely different world sounds incredibly exciting to me. When I was younger, I also wanted to become an astronaut or a fighter pilot , but the path to those dreams felt very long. Becoming a scuba diver, though, feels like something that could actually be possible.

My dream is also to buy a Lamborghini someday. The funny part is that I actually have extreme motion sickness. I usually avoid traveling by cars and buses as much as possible. But somehow I still love traveling, which makes it a bit ironic.

I live a very simple life. Cycling, swimming, and playing football are some of the things I enjoy the most. I have a very basic mindset: not getting scared easily and not letting things bother me too much. I am an extremely calm person and I try not to get agitated by situations around me.

I chose to work in this field because most of my family members are already in it. Eventually, I would love to start my own startup as a full stack developer. Right now I am also exploring AI and learning as much as I can.

For me, life is pretty straightforward. I do not let work or personal things stress me out too much. What really matters to me is that my family is happy. If they are happy, I am happy.

I also do not care much about materialistic things. A pizza or an ice cream is enough to make me happy. It is really that simple for me.

73% of Indian enterprises have no formal AI asset register.
They don’t know which teams are using AI, what data is being shared, or which tools were never approved.
DPDP is active. RBI is tightening model risk oversight. Global clients are running AI audits before contracts are signed.
The gap between AI adoption and AI governance is now a board-level liability — not a future problem.
We built a 37-point checklist that tells CIOs and CTOs exactly what a board-ready AI risk report needs to contain.
Regulatory mapping. Shadow AI. Vendor risk. Incident reporting. Human oversight controls. And a scoring guide to know where your organisation stands today.
Comment GOVERNANCE and we’ll send it directly to your inbox.

Al is moving fast in India.
Your governance isn’t.

DPDP is active.
RBI is tightening tech oversight.

Global clients are asking Al risk questions.
The real risk isn’t Al.
It is deploying Al without governance.

The companies that govern early will not just avoid penalties.
They will win enterprise trust.

Is your Al strategy documented or just deployed?

One of my biggest fears now is losing my parents.

That fear started in 2018 when my elder brother passed away. He was only 34. He was living in the US and had come to India for a relative’s marriage, but after returning to the US, his leg suddenly swelled up. Doctors said it was gout and the pain was extremely severe. They were also struggling to treat it properly, and within a few days he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

It was shocking for all of us. He had achieved so much. He was a biomedical engineer working with one of the top pharmaceutical companies in the US and had even bought his own house there. His life wasn’t easy though; he had asthma since childhood, but despite that he worked very hard and built a life for himself. Biomedical engineering is not an easy field.

After losing him, everything changed for me and my family, and it also made me think a lot about my own life and the dreams I still want to achieve.

I did my studies in Muscat and Bahrain and I’m a mechanical engineer. I’ve always had big dreams and I still do. I want to build a car one day. I love cars and know a lot about them, so I want to build my own company around it. I also want to get married, have kids, and become responsible.

But that loss changed something inside me. I’ve become very introverted. Earlier I was very social and carefree, and now I feel like I’ve changed a lot. I want to become that version of myself again.

Most of my friends live abroad, so other than work I spend my time at home or travelling with my parents. I love driving, so I take them on trips. I used to love dancing too and even joined the Shiamak Davar Dance Academy twice. I’ve also tried things like Art of Living and yoga.

Sometimes I feel like I’m not as sharp as I used to be. It feels like something is blocking me from using 100% of my brain the way I once could. I was always a smart kid, and mechanical engineering itself is not easy.

I’ve been to doctors and what they told me is that trauma can affect you deeply, so I just have to be patient with myself. Healing takes time.

I believe I’ll slowly get back on track with my life and my goals.
