A normal temperature reading does not always mean that your data-centre environment is fully controlled.
Relative humidity is equally important:
• Low RH can increase the risk of electrostatic discharge around sensitive electronic equipment.
• High RH can increase the possibility of condensation, moisture accumulation and corrosion.
• Temperature and humidity together provide a clearer view of changing rack and room conditions.
Omicron’s PoE-based RH+T transmitters monitor both parameters through a network-connected solution. Power and data are carried through a single Ethernet cable, helping simplify installation and provide continuous environmental visibility.
Don’t monitor temperature in isolation. Monitor the complete condition.
