George Mason University- Costello College of Business will name its Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship for Mr. Anil Sharma, founder and CEO of 22nd Century Technologies, and his wife, Ms. Anupama Sharma.

The naming recognizes a personal gift from Mr. Anil Sharma and Ms. Anupama and a commitment shaped in part by Mr. Anil Sharma own path as an entrepreneur. He came to the United States in 1997 with $100 and founded 22nd Century Technologies later that year. Since then, he has invested in and mentored other founders, including through his involvement with George Mason’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Through this gift, Mr. Anil Sharma and Ms. Anupama are extending that commitment to George Mason students, giving future entrepreneurs greater access to experienced mentors and hands-on support as they develop new ventures.

All of us at 22nd Century Technologiesare proud to see Mr. Anil Sharma and Ms. Anupama Sharma recognized in this way, and we look forward to seeing what students build through the Anil and Anupama Sharma Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Costello College of Business

Everyone thinks they understand PoSH until they sit in a room and have the conversation.

22nd Century Software Solutions-22CSS recently held a PoSH Awareness Session.

The session encouraged us to reflect on respect, inclusion, and our shared responsibility in creating a safe workplace. Through discussions and case studies, we gained valuable perspectives on fostering a culture where everyone feels heard and respected.

At 22nd Century Software Solutions-22CSS, we believe people are far more than the roles listed in their email signatures. Beyond deadlines, presentations, meetings, and screens, there are stories quietly unfolding every single day. Stories of compassion, curiosity, advocacy, care, and community.

Some care for stray animals before work. Some dedicate themselves to seva and helping others, while others inspire greener living through plants, sustainability, and eco-friendly habits like cycling to work every day. These are the people who remind us that culture is not built only inside conference rooms. It is built in the values we carry outside them too.
