We hear a lot about .NET (the .NET Framework, and .NET standards). We all have our own interpretation of these terms.

The .NET Framework is a computing platform from the Microsoft to design, develop, deploy, and run applications in a highly distributed environment of the Internet.
My understanding of .NET (.NET Framework) was like this in the past, though things have changed drastically in recent years. I have recently learned a precise meaning (for me) and would like to share it with you.

NET is a complete ecosystem for developing and deploying applications for desktops, mobile devices, the cloud, and IoT devices.
