Mozilla just launched a new campaign, Take Back the Web, to empower students to educate and mobilize their communities toward a safer and more secure Internet. We live so much of our lives online, but we don’t always know what happens to the data we share or whose hands it ends up in. Mozilla is recruiting students and mentors to be the next generation of Internet champions, taking back control of our digital lives and growing leadership skills along the way.

If you have a passion for working with students and care about Internet privacy and security, apply to become a Local Coach and mentor one or more Campus Teams in their activities. If you’re a student interested in being a leader in this campaign, gather a team of 2-5 people and apply to be a Campus Team.

Algorithm has always inspired us. We have started a mission to create a good understandable way to let layman understand the way how algorithm works, the mathematical significance and relevance, the importance of constraints and performance space trade-off etc.
You have got popular physics, may be a few books and lots of blogs on popular mathematics and numerical.
For thorough popularizing the concepts of CS so that everybody can understand "why are we writing this?", "why are we using this ?", and "where should I use this?", we now need some good CS enthusiasts.
The enthusiasts should have knowledge of some area/may be a single topic.

Eligibility:
Any person with interest in the domain and knowledge to code.

Responsibilities :
1. To identify a good book on any sub-domain of CS. [ CLRS : Introduction to algorithms, D.Knuth: The Art of Computer programming vol-1,2,3, Data-structures: Lipschutz, Object-oriented Programming- James Rumbaugh, Database management systems: Navathe etc.]
2. To choose a concept/set of concepts from that book.
3. To present that concept in a very simple manner with example.
4. To write an implementation of the concept in a readable manner having larger integer input in any of the common programming languages. And run them on multiple compilers and compare performance.say if you choose to implement in c++, use g++, vc++, borland c++ etc.
5. To focus on the constraints, the larger values of input and to handle them.
6. To familiar with Implement of associated popular libraries.

Our objective is to implement notions for larger valued use-case with a limited resource in mind. (say, for database queries , to search from a million rows.)

Although the initiative is on voluntary basis, the efforts of the performers will be recognized in whatever way possible.

We will be launching something really big afterwards. This effort is to be made first to let our primary social objective to be served.

Hi All,
Firefox Club would be organising a Mozilla Stumbling programme on Wednesday 9th September,2015 for a short session on Open-Source, Mozilla and contribution pathways. Stumbling is one of the easiest ways to contribute to Mozilla through an Android phone and a Stumbling app only. Although its targeted at first year students only, we'd want anybody interested to join and contribute to this awesomeness called Open-Source and Mozilla. Awesome swags and prizes are to be won if you make it to the top of the Stumbling leaderboard!!!! So do join!!!!

Students of West Bengal University of Technology (In-house) are going to organise the biggest and first ever open-source fest on kolkata, even in eastern region, in association with Firefox_group@WBUT.
