Is learning C still worthwhile?
As we know, C programming was developed in early 70's and no significant modification since then. So the obvious question that arises is "Is learning C still worthwhile?". I mean there are several other programming languages has been developed since then. But why are we still here, reading C language? Well, here is the answers:
It is fast, efficient, simple yet powerful, highly portable and available in all platforms including MS. DOS.
It also supports powerful graphics programming and directly operates with hardware.
System programs such as compilers, Operating System can be developed in C. For example, the popular operating system UNIX is designed in C.
C is the core foundations of any other programming languages.
