Hello all geeks and gamers!
Paulsoftz Technologies wishes everyone a very happy and prosperous Bengali New Year 1421!
This week, we have a tech news which is a must know for gamers specially!
4:
Lately we have been hearing a number of announcements regarding Microsoft's implementation of Universal Windows apps, with the company starting to accept these submissions, as well as detailing the various changes to the respective stores and 'Dev Centres'. On Tuesday however, the Microsoft Studios' Halo: Spartan Assault become the first Universal Windows app.

On its Windows Phone Store and Windows Store listings, Halo: Spartan Assault features new box art, and the tagline that says, "Made for Windows Phones and Windows PCs." The app is available for Windows Phone 8, Windows RT and Windows 8 (both x86 and x64 powered devices) OS or higher versions.

As with all Universal Windows apps, users will be able to purchase Halo: Spartan Assault on any one Windows platform, and be able to play it on any other linked Windows devices without shelling out any extra cash. In-app purchases, achievements and saves will also be synched across devices.

The Universal Windows game arrives a day after since Microsoft started accepting Universal Windows apps via its Windows Phone Dev Center and Windows Dev Center websites. Earlier this week, the firm also unveiled the consolidated and simplified price tiers for developers on the corresponding app stores.

Halo: Spartan Assault's price has been set at $4.99 (Rs. 260 in India) across the Windows OS ecosystem. The app is available through both Windows Store and Windows Phone Store.

The Universal Windows apps, that was introduced in the firm's 2014 Build Conference, aim to bring a new common Windows runtime to PCs, phones, and tablets (and the Xbox One). Consumers will be able to buy an app on one platform, and be able to use its migrated counterparts on other platforms, even retaining in-app purchases if any.

Microsoft unveils new features of Windows 8.1 Update 1:
Microsoft has announced some new details about the latest Windows 8.1 Update 1. The new update will bring in some significant changes to the UI apart from the regular performance and security patches. It will be released for Windows 8 users for free on April 8. The software giant announced the new changes at its annual Microsoft Build 2014 Conference. One of the most anticipated changes includes the return of the classic Start Button. Here are all the changes that Microsoft unveiled at the Build Conference:

Boot straight to Desktop: Currently Windows 8.1 boots users to its default tile-based metro home screen. The new Update 1 will allow users to land up on the classic desktop screen bypassing the tiled interface. Most likely, Microsoft has been listening to user-complaints regarding the new tile-based UI which hasn't been as popular as the company expected.
Taskbar: Microsoft will bring new changes to the desktop taskbar which will allow users to access the Windows Store without going into the tile-based app screen. A new button will be introduced to make the task easier. On the tile-based home screen, the taskbar, which wasn't earlier accessible on the mentioned screen, will be available to users. Moving the mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen will highlight the taskbar.
Tile-based UI: New tweaks will be introduced to the Modern UI Start Screen as well, which include a dedicated Power and Search buttons. Users will now be able to shut down their machines right from the tile-based screen without needing to open the Charms menu. Also, newly installed apps will be labeled as "New" which wasn't available in the previous version of Windows 8.
Apart from these UI changes, Microsoft says that the Update 1 will drop the minimum system requirements to 1GB of RAM and 16GB of HDD storage.

We all use our PC for various purposes, and sometimes we need to view or observe the PC's performance and benchmarks for various reasons. Be it debugging a problem or to measure the PC's performance!
To gain each and every information about your PC, there is a very good software called AIDA64.
AIDA64 compiles and displays a wide range of details for your computer hardware and software. To find out what is inside a PC, what kind of hardware you are dealing with, you just need to glance at the Summary page. If you need more details for a particular hardware component, you are always just a few clicks away from a specific hardware information page. The Summary page also offers you links to hardware manufacturers websites, and points to driver update and BIOS download facilities.

Several AIDA64 pages are not just there to display static information. Dynamic pages show realtime clock readings and sensor measurements to help you while overclocking or tuning your system, or when you are trying to identify a faulty hardware component.

AIDA64 also contains over 40 pages about installed software, drivers, services, and other operating system details. With its streamlined detection engine it can gather essential data from security software like virus database date, firewall state, and a list of installed Windows Updates and hotfixes.
So, you can see almost anything and everything about your computer with this little yet efficient software!

This week, we are coming up with another tech news which every network based and other PC users should know!
2:
Dropbox to bring personal and work account toggling in April!
Dropbox is said to soon be enabling an upcoming feature that lets users create distinct work and personal accounts without having to log in and out, according to The Verge.
The tech news source got its hands on an email that Dropbox recently sent to its business users that said the company plans to launch the feature on April 9. The company originally announced the feature last November, but it's been unclear when it would roll out.

Dropbox has increasingly geared its cloud storage service toward business customers. Last April, it launched Dropbox for Business, which allowed for a single sign-on feature. And, in November it announced a rebuild of Dropbox for Business that included the toggle feature for work and personal accounts.
The cloud storage company boasts that it serves more than 4 million businesses and they save hundreds of millions of files every week. The company also says that 97 percent of the Fortune 500 companies also use the service.
Dropbox is facing steep competition in the cloud storage market, however. While users reportedly tend to like the service, many complain the pricing is too high compared with competitors like Google Drive, Microsoft's SkyDrive, and Box. It's possible that Dropbox is working to appease the masses by rolling out new features like multiple accounts.
So stay tuned for more news about Dropbox's new offering which maybe coming very soon!

Hello all geeks and gamers!
How have been the past week for everyone?
This week, PST will be posting a latest news regarding an upcoming google project!
1:
Google’s modular smartphone, Project Ara, could arrive in early 2015 and cost just $50. For $50 you’d only get a bare-bones Project Ara endoskeleton, of course — you don’t get a fixed display, but a variable modular screen can be installed depending upon ur needs as it is expected – it’s still a very exciting prospect, especially when you factor in the imminent release date. Early 2015 is a lot sooner than any of us were expecting. The utopian concept of having a single phone that you continuously upgrade over a few years, rather than wastefully replace in its entirety, could soon be a reality...

This Week, instead of the regular tips and tricks post, Paulsoftz Technologies will like to introduce with its fans about the latest news about the upcoming Windows Project!

MICROSOFT's UPCOMING PROJECT WINDOWS 8.2:
Nobody knows for sure whether Microsoft plans to launch a second update for Windows 8.1, but one designer has already envisioned some of the features that could be part of such a release in a new concept.

Simply called Windows 8.2 RTM, this concept comes with several highly-anticipated features, including Aero, a notification bar, redesigned Internet Explorer, a Start bar in the top-left corner with shortcuts for the most important apps.

Time and date are now on the desktop and the taskbar has been removed completely, which makes me wonder how app switching is actually going to work without such a feature.

This concept surely comes with several interesting ideas, but some refinements might still be needed, not to mention that some of the changes, such as the removal of the taskbar, are pretty much impossible in the next Windows update.

More updates will be posted by PST as soon as Microsoft publishes more information about Windows 8.2!

Hello all geeks and gamers!
Paulsoftz Technologies is back again this week with the weekly tips and tricks updates!
This week, we will be posting a very simple trick, which is already known by many Windows 7 users, but maybe be still unknown to some others...
: Tips n Tricks No.15
Do you ever required to burn ISO images in your PC in urgency but there is no software for you to do that?
You may have been given, or have downloaded, ISO files in earlier versions of Windows. (If you ran a beta version of Windows 7, you likely got it via an ISO-file download.) And if you did, you know that Windows didn't provide any native provision for burning these files to CD or DVD to make them usable. Windows users have had to resort to freeware or commercial programs to burn ISOs in the past, but users of other operating systems have been able to do so without additional software for years.
But do not panic!
Because Windows 7 has a cool solution to this problem—and makes it super-easy, too. To burn an ISO image in 7, all you need to do is double-click on the file, choose your optical drive (preload it with an appropriate blank disc), and click Burn.
That is all you have to do!
Thanks for viewing the trick, hope it will come of help to many Windows 7 users.
