The session began with a reflection on the first line of our Constitution – “We, the People of India” – a powerful reminder that inclusion is not just an initiative, but a value embedded in our nation’s very foundation.

Through this dialogue, we explored what diversity, equity, and inclusion truly mean in everyday practice—going beyond policy to creating a culture where every voice is heard, every identity respected, and every individual empowered to contribute fully.

A big thank you to the leadership and team at TCG Lifesciences for making DEI a priority and for inviting us to be a part of this important beginning.

Under the leadership of Smita Chatterji, CEO of Centreax Technologies and Chairperson of CII IWN West Bengal, the recent session on Empowering India through Diversity, Equity & Inclusion brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and changemakers to create a powerful platform for dialogue and action.

Ms. Chatterji opened the session with a thought-provoking reference to the Constitution of India, reminding us that the spirit of diversity, equity, and inclusion is deeply rooted in our nation’s founding principles.

From Dr. Swati Smita’s engaging interactive session on Recognising Unconscious Bias to the insightful panel discussions, the event underscored a simple truth — Diversity brings talent, Equity opens the doors, and Inclusion makes it last.
