Some of the most useful conversations happen when you step away from the stage and sit at the same table. During Nordic Tech Week, Sundew and our team hosted a one-day workshop with CXOs from across Sweden and the wider Nordic region.
The agenda was practical: modern system architecture, foundations, AI in production, and a question that came up in almost every discussion: how sovereign AI is moving from policy debate to real business decisions.
A few things we heard clearly:
→ is now a design principle. Leaders want to know where their data lives, who controls their models, and how that holds up under the EU AI Act and GDPR.
→ AI ambition is only as strong as the architecture beneath it. Many organizations are revisiting legacy systems and data platforms before scaling AI further.
→ Trust is earned in delivery, not in demos. The interest is in measurable outcomes: cost, resilience, speed to value.
→ The approach of transparency, consensus, and long-term thinking is shaping how responsible AI is adopted, and increasingly, how the rest of Europe views it.
→ The "SaaSpocalypse" was part of the conversation too. As AI agents begin doing work that once needed a stack of seat-based SaaS licenses, leaders are rethinking which platforms they really need and where to build capability they own.
Fireside chats included industry leaders from IKEA and Klarna, along with some candid exchanges. We came to Stockholm to listen and learn, and we leave with a clearer view of where Nordic enterprises are heading and how we can be a useful partner along the way.
