Position: Infrastructure – System Engineer

Role
· Cloud Infrastructure Deployment utilizing automation and integration tool.

· The role requires an understanding of Data Center Management, Linux Server administration deployed in Multiple Data Centers across the globe. Clear understanding of SLA and interaction with Data Center hosting providers is necessary.

· It would also need conceptual understanding of Networking and key applications and services running on virtualized and non-virtualized platforms.

Responsibilities
· Proactively monitor the Production and Pre-Production environments. Take actions where needed to ensure that availability or integrity of these systems are always maintained. Escalate to senior members in team to ensure that issues gets addressed. This will be a 24 x 7 environment that needs constant attention and action.

· Support Development activities by providing Infrastructure services that caters to the product development road map. This support would ensure that development activities are not blocked due to Infrastructure requirements.

· Manage Webhosting Systems and it sub systems on required hardware platforms in a production environment with minimum downtime.

· Operate Production services running in Data Centers and Cloud to ensure that business is able to utilize them. Adhere to SLA for each of the services that is being provided to the Business.

· Document server configurations, and scripts, and all other relevant information in the knowledge base.

· Leverage automation framework to improve processes, automate deployment, and improve manageability of environment.

· Provide Administration of a number of Hosted Linux systems, Databases and the work process that include these components.

· Providing technical support based on requirements from the Business.

Technical Skills
· Experience on Cloud (AWS, Azure) ,Linux administration

· Atleast 6-10years Server / Cloud Administration, Virtual Data Center Design, Capacity Planning.

· Experience in a 24×7 high-availability production environment

· Knowledge on Technologies like Linux, AWS Instances, Shell Scripting, Python, Chef, Puppe

· Linux System Administration in a data center environment
