Embarking on a journey of innovation, the One Local Self-Government One Idea (OLOI) project, pioneered by the state government, is reshaping the landscape of problem-solving at the local government level. 🚀💡

🤝 **Collaborative Development Model:**
OLOI stands as a practical model, fostering an innovation ecosystem by identifying and addressing challenges unique to local government settings. The initiative seeks to categorize and implement solutions to unmet needs and issues faced by local bodies.

🌱 **Innovation Ecosystem:**
The project thrives through collective efforts, with academic institutions, industry/start-ups, and a community of practice (CoP) comprising 27 experts collaborating to devise solutions to the development crises encountered at the local body level.

👥 **K-DISC Leadership:**
Guided by the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC), the project advances through joint interventions, ensuring a holistic and comprehensive approach to problem-solving.

📚 **Academic Leadership:**
The Kerala Institute for Local Administration (KILA) spearheads training initiatives from the state to the local body level. Identifying resource persons and academic experts at each local body level, KILA conducts district-level training, empowering individuals to contribute to the OLOI mission.

🌍 **Community Empowerment:**
With half-day workshops at block, municipality, and gram panchayat levels, the local authority engages in identifying problems and brainstorming creative solutions. KILA's guidance and oversight ensure a well-coordinated and structured approach to this novel initiative.

നൂതനാശയ പരിഹാരങ്ങൾ സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി കെ-ഡിസ്കിന്റെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള ഓൺലൈൻ സംവിധാനത്തിന്റെ ഔപചാരികമായ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ബഹു: തദ്ദേശ വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി 2023 നവംബർ 3-നു, 5 മണിയ്ക്ക് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി കോളേജിൽ വച്ച് കേരളീയം പരിപാടിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി നിർവഹിച്ചു.

🌱✨ **Zero Waste Hackathon: Transforming Challenges into Sustainable Solutions!** ✨🌍

Embarking on a mission to address the persistent challenges in the field of waste management, several state and private organizations, including K-DISC, KSUM, Clean Kerala Company, and Hariyali Mission, have collaborated for the groundbreaking event "Zero Waste Hackathon."

Scheduled to take place from November 3rd to December 3rd, this initiative is aimed at harnessing innovative technological solutions and social awareness to combat issues related to waste generation, recycling, waste reduction, and resource recovery.

The official launch ceremony, presided over by the Honorable Minister for Local Self-Government, is scheduled for November 3rd at 5:00 PM at the University College, Thiruvananthapuram. Dr. Rajan Varghese, State President of KSUM, will inaugurate the event, symbolizing the collective commitment to finding comprehensive and integrated solutions to challenges in the waste management sector.

As part of the program, a detailed orientation session on the online platform for participants, organizations, and solution providers will be conducted. With heavy hearts, MES College Marampally pays homage to the lives lost in the tragic incident at the CUSAT campus. The untimely loss of four lives during a musical evening associated with Tech Fest is deeply saddening.
