Office Universal apps for Windows 10 mobile coming 'early next week'

The last two versions of the Windows 10 preview for phones have been lacking one essential feature: the Office Hub. Microsoft had said that a preview of Universal Office apps would be launching by the end of last month but it now looks like users will need to wait a bit longer. Windows 10 will be launched in several staggered releases

Microsoft’s release of Windows 10 will not happen as one event. Instead, the Windows 10 release date will actually represent the launch of the Windows 10 desktop edition – sometime this summer. Joe Belfiore, the corporate vice president of the Operating Systems Group at Microsoft confirmed this today at the BUILD 2015 conference. Summer launch? “The way to think about it will be a launch wave that starts in the summer with PCs, and fills out over time as more devices come online,” Belfiore said. [ 144 more words. ]
