Tata Docomo launches advanced Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo for Rs 2899

Tata Docomo, on Tuesday announced the launch of its new Advanced Wi-Fi Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo. The latest in the brand’s successful Photon series, the Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo ensures that internet users enjoy non-stop, high speed Wi-Fi connectivity on multiple devices without worrying about running out of battery. The device comes with a 4400 mAh power bank which provides battery back-up and also comes equipped with 32 GB Micro SD card slot that allows personal and shared cloud storage capabilities.

Photon Max Wi-Fi Duo priced at Rs 2899 allow users to connect up to five devices to the Internet including smartphones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs and gaming consoles. The device is equipped with a 32GB MicroSD card slot that can be used in both solo and sharing mode, the latter enabling sharing of the MicroSD data across Wi-Fi users. It also lets users create a MicroSD Cloud enabling Internet storage, sharing and access of content from anywhere in the world.

Tata Docomo’s Photon series is the market leader in the high speed wireless Internet space. The innovative product range has been the catalyst for a new telecom eco-system of not only Internet on Wi-Fi but also Internet on the go. Tata Docomo launches India’s first create your own number service

Tata Docomo, on Monday announced the launch of a pioneering service that allows customers to create their own 10-digit mobile number. In an industry first, customers can walk into any Tata Docomo brand store and create a number based on preference for existing numbers, birth dates, favourite numbers or anything simple to remember.

“For the millennial generation, their smartphones have become an extension of their personalities. Many favour specific device brands and personalise their hardware to reflect their state of mind or other preferences. With this new service, we’ve made it possible for our customers to take this experience a step further and create personalised phone numbers. This is an industry first and we are very excited about bringing this service to our existing and new subscribers,” said Sandeep Singal, Head - Branded Retail & Strategic Distribution, Tata Teleservices.

With a campaign tagline of ‘It’s my life, it’s my number,’ Tata Docomo has made it very easy for customers to get a number of their choosing. Currently, the brand is offering four simplified number selection options:

1. Non-Qwerty Keypad Number: This allows customers to enter a name which is then converted into digits. Customers are shown multiple options to create from.
2. Alphabetical Number: This option allows customers to convert names into numbers based on a standard matrix. This system shows multiple options for customers to create from.
3. Sum of Digits: Users can enter any digit between 1 to 9 and the system will show available numbers whose sum of digit matches with the entered number.
4. Competition Matching Number: In case of a competition number, available options with similar last five digits will be shown.
