The Government and EPFO have announced several important updates in recent weeks. Here are the key changes that employees and employers should know:

# # # 1. Automatic EPF Transfer on Job Change

* EPF accounts can now be transferred automatically when you change jobs.
* This works if your **UAN is Aadhaar-linked and KYC-compliant**.
* Members with incomplete KYC or multiple UANs may still need manual intervention. ([The Economic Times][1])

# # # 2. New EPF Scheme, 2026

A new **Employees' Provident Funds Scheme, 2026** has replaced the older 1952 scheme.
Key highlights include:

* Simplified nomination process.
* Easier PF withdrawal procedures.

* Better clarity for international workers and contractors.
