village also known as the Living Monument of Arunachal Pradesh is hosting the first ever heritage festival this World Heritage Day. |18th-20th April 2018|

Thembang was also nominated as World Heritage Site by in 2011.

The four-day skill development training on baking, mushroom cultivation, handicraft, pickle and jam making, held at Zaktum Notko, Bomzir village under Lower Dibang Valley district successfully concluded on Friday.
The training was conducted in collaboration with Mad Lime Designs under MLA LAD fund and was inaugurated by Dambuk MLA Gum Tayeng on March 20 last. This was one of Tayeng’s continued efforts towards women empowerment in the area.
Altogether 150 trainees attended the training and benefited from training which was conducted under master trainers Tumter Riba and Tumi Riba.
During the programme, the master trainers elaborated on the process of making homemade pickles, jams and cakes. The enthusiastic trainees were also trained on the process of mushroom cultivation which can be beneficial for their livelihood.
The process does not stop at just training, advertisement, marketing and sale of finished quality product by these trainees had been assured.
