Popular Linux Distributions
===================
Linux kernel is freely available for download. Organizations bundle Linux kernel with their choice of applications and release it as distribution. We can create our own distribution if we could spend some considerable amount of time.

There are over hundred Linux distributions. However, distributions like Red Hat, Ubuntu and SUSE are popular among th...em.

Red Hat Releases:
--> Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) - You need to buy it (commercial)
--> CentOS (Community Enterprise Operating System - Free (Community)
--> Fedora - Free (Community) --- For Desktop computers

Ubuntu Releases:
--> Ubuntu Server - Free
--> Ubuntu Desktop - Free

SUSE Releases:
--> OpenSUSE - Free
--> SUSE Linux Enterprise - Commercial

You can try free (community) desktop distributions and I guarantee you that you will fall in LOVE with Linux.
