IIE Announces Top 50 Entrepreneurs Under NEC-Funded Incubation Project, Three from Assam University Secure Funding
The Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE), Guwahati, has earlier today, on 1 April, 2026, announced the selection of the top 50 entrepreneurs for the next phase of support under its flagship incubation project sponsored by the North Eastern Council (NEC), Shillong. Among the successful candidates, three incubatees from the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) of Assam University, Silchar, have cleared the final round and secured funding.
The three incubatees from Assam University’s Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) who have successfully secured funding are, Shri Dibyajyoti Nath (Impact Weaver Pvt. Ltd.), Shri Arijit Saha (Explore Valley Media Pvt. Ltd.) and Shri Bapan Das (Graduate Farmers Agrovet Pvt. Ltd.).
Their selection reflects the strength of their ventures across multiple parameters, including innovation potential, business model viability, feasibility, impact on the North Eastern Region, and presentation quality.
Prof. Debomalya Ghosh serves as the Head of the Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) at Assam University, with Prof. Prodipto Das functioning as the Coordinator. The other members of the EDC team include Dr. Ajita Tiwari, Dr. W Niranjan Singh, Dr. Abhishek Bhattacharjee, Dr. Lurai Rongmei, Dr. Aditi Nath, Prof. Sudipta Roy, Dr. Sourish Dhar, and Prof. Amitabh Bhattacharjee. Their collective mentorship and guidance have been instrumental in nurturing the entrepreneurial aspirations of students and incubatees.
