Kaithi, also known as “Kayathi” or “Kayasthi”, is a historical script. The use of this script is found in the early centuries of Christ in North Western Provinces, Awadh (present day Uttar Pradesh) including Bihar. It was used to write administrative, personal and legal documents and things.

Prof Dhrub Kumar has done a tremendous work to dig out the root of Kaithi Script and working towards prevention of this.
