Mitsubishi Electric announced today that it will begin shipping samples of two new S1-Series High Voltage Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (HVIGBT) modules, both rated at 1.7kV, for large industrial equipment such as railcars and DC power transmitters from December 26.

Empowering Future Engineers: Hands-On Exploration of Motor Control and MELCOSIM Power Module Simulation at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Faridabad.

Mitsubishi Electric India recently hosted a dynamic training session aimed at enhancing both faculty and student knowledge in motor control and Semiconductors & Devices. The training provided an in-depth exploration of the motor control kit, which enables users to experiment with various motor control techniques, such as BLDC motor control, AC motor control, and speed regulation. Simultaneously, the MELCOSIM Power Module Simulation Tool was introduced to simulate power module losses in components like IGBT modules, Intelligent Power Modules (IPM), and Dual Inline Package Intelligent Power Modules (DIPIPM).

Mitsubishi Electric announced today the upcoming launch of a new MelDIR-brand 80ร—60-pixel thermal-diode infrared sensor (MIR8060C1) with a 100ยฐร—73ยฐ field of view, more than double that of the companyโ€™s existing thermal-diode infrared sensors, to accurately and efficiently identify people and objects.

Mitsubishi Electric announced today that it will invest approximately 10 billion yen to construct a new facility for the assembly and inspection of power semiconductor modules at its Power Device Works in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The plant, which was originally announced on March 14, 2023, is scheduled to begin operations in October 2026.
