How to Increase battery life of your laptop

Step 1: Click on the Start Menu and type “ CMD ” in the Start Search bar.
Step 2: The search will start and it will then display an icon of “ CMD ” . simply right click on it and select Run as administrator.
Step 3: It will open command line, now simply run the command “powercfg -energy” without quotes. (For windows 7 users.)

-OR-

Simply run the command “powercfg /energy” without quotes. (For windows 8 users.)

Step 4: Now Press “Enter”.

Once you successfully execute this command , Windows will run a complete scan of your system and it will find some ways to improve performance and power efficiency.
The results of this process will be saved to an HTML file, which is commonly present in the “System32” folder of most of the systems.

To access this file, simply follow the path which will be displayed in command prompt window after completion of the command. Read This file to understand that what program in your system is consuming more power and degrading the performance.

How to Skip Windows logon Screen in Windows Xp,7 & 8 :

Step 1: First of all you will need to open Advanced User account,
>Click on Start , Type netplwiz and Click Enter (For Windows 7 & Vista users)
>Click on Start, Type control userpasswords2 and Click Enter (For Windows xp users)
>Hover your mouse to any corner, Click on Search and type netplwiz in the app section then click on netplwiz (For Windows 8 users)

Step 2: After performing the above tasks in your version of Windows You will Get a dialogue box similar to below Picture. 1st you will have to select the Account, then Uncheck the box Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer and lastly click on ok.

Step 3: Now you will be asked to enter your password twice, so do it and thats enough we have done to Skip Windows logon Screen. You will see that the next time you boot your PC, you will not be asked for Username or Password.

How do I Get back the logon screen ? :

After Disabling logon screen, if you feel insecure and whant the logon screen back then you can do it by again performing Step 1 in this tutorial and Check the box users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
Thats it now the next time your PC will boot, you will be asked for username and password.

NOTE : advice to all is not to do it if you are not the sole user of your PC or laptop. if you do so, it makes your PC vulnerable. Anyone will be able to access your PC , and hence your Important Files and other Data if you skip or disable windows logon screen

How To Remove Autorun.Inf Virus

Solution to Remove Autorun.inf Virus
Step 1: First Disable CD/DVD or USB Autorun in windows
Follow the below steps and ensure your system safety:
Click start à Run and type GPEDIT.MSC – this opens Group Policy editor window.
On the left side expand Computer Configuration à Administrative Templates à System.
Locate the entry for turn auto play off on the right side.
Double click it and select ‘Enabled’.
Step 2: Open Winrar.exe (Start à All Programs à WinRar à WinRar.exe)
Step 3: Now browse to any drive that is infected with Autorun.inf virus using winrar explorer.
Step 4: Here you will see all the hidden files under winrar for that particular drive.
Step 5: Look for the file Autorun.inf and open it using notepad.
Step 6: In that Autorun file, some .EXE file will be mentioned that will be executed along with the autorun file. This exe file is the main culprit.
Step 7: Note the exe file mentioned in the Autorun.inf file. Close this Autorun.inf file.
Step 8: Now look for that .Exe file in the drive (Ex: c:/), Delete that .exe file along with Autorun.inf
Step 9: Restart your Operating System. Now your system is free with Autorun.inf Virus.

Note: Repeat the same process if your Usb or Pendrives are infected with Autorun.inf virus..
