Many of us think that having a good interactive website or blog is that required to get tons of websites but that is not exactly correct. Getting more people to your site takes a lot of hard work (at least some smart work :-) ). After six years in the web development and blogging, I found some of the answers and some short cuts to get it. It may help you, if you are very interested in attracting a lot of visitors to your blog or website. But why other people (whom you think got lot of visitors) not revealing to you, because you need to advertise about your blog or website. Here I have added some of the proven techniques used by most of the experienced persons in the industry without spending [much] money:

Submit your site to as many search engines as you can. Here are some of the popular ones you can start with:

Alexa
AltaVista
AllTheWeb
AOL
Ask
Bing
DMOZ
ExactSeek
Excite
GigaBlast
Google
Kanoodle
Live
Lycos
LookSmart
MSN
National Directory
WebCrawler
What-U-Seek
Yahoo
Use a favicon.ico (which shows your logo in the URL bar)
If you have a Christian Website, be sure to submit it to all the Christian Directories. We have a list of about 50 of the most popular Christian Directories here.
Have Dynamic content on your site - Message Board, Links Directory, Guest Book, Online Search, Picture Gallery, Quote of the day, News items, Site Search, Links Engine ... It all makes for a more enjoyable experience for your visitors ... and interested visitors come back.
Make sure you don't have broken links on your site! There is nothing more annoying when one clicks a link and it does not work. There are hundreds of places you can go on the internet that will check your link validity. Use them.
Make sure your META TAGS are done right.
Submit your site to as many privately run Link Directories/Search Engines as you can find. These will not generally boost your traffic in any major way but will help to maintain steady stream of qualified visitors.
Use Banners with care.
Subscribe to the Usenet groups and advertise there. A good place to start is Google Groups
Be sure to submit your site in appropriate groups!
Be sure to signup with a backup email or you will get onto every spammers database!
Be sure you don't SPAM -- only submit a write up of your site once to any given group.
Use social networking sites like Twitter, facebook, YouTube, Plaxo, Linkedin and others to get the word out.

Asus ROG launches Maximus V GENE motherboard (LGA1155) in India

Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched its first fifth-generation Maximus motherboard, called the Maximus V GENE, a micro ATX based on the Intel Z77 chipset, with support for Intel 3rd and 2nd Generation LGA1155 processors and PCI-Express Gen-3 for single or multi-GPU. It has been priced at Rs. 15,350 (excluding taxes), and will ship with a three-year warranty.
The Asus ROG Maximus V GENE comes with Extreme Engine DIGI+ II, SupremeFX III gaming audio, Intel Ethernet with ROG GameFirst, and LucidLogix Virtu MVP, which enables a new hybrid graphics mode that boosts overall GPU performance by up to 60%.

The Maximus V GENE motherboard supports the newly added mPCIe Combo card, which combines the twin functions of mPCIe with mSATA into a single, extensible add-in card that still allows full use of the PCI-Express slots for multi-GPU graphics. This, coupled with Intel Smart Response Technology, will free up standard SATA ports and standard mPCIe sockets for other uses, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other connectivity.

Vinay Shetty, Country Head, Component Business, Asus (India), spoke on the launch: “The Asus ROG Maximus V GENE features the Extreme Engine DIGI+ II power control design, SupremeFX III gaming audio, Intel Ethernet with ROG GameFirst software and the newly added mPCIe Combo card and has nearly all the connectivity of larger ATX motherboards and yields a fantastic overclocking experience for overclockers and enthusiasts. Designed for gamers, this board provides great graphics performance and we're pleased to offer this motherboard to our customers in India.”

India orders 7.5 million Microsoft cloud services

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has just handed Microsoft it's biggest order for cloudy wares, in the form of a deal that will see seven million students and half a million staff hook up to the Redmond cloud.
AICTE is the Indian government's agency charged with developing and delivering technical education.
Over the next three months, Office 365 and Live@Edu will both find their way into more than ten thousand at ten thousand technical colleges around India in a program that Mr. Kapil Sibbal, Union Minister for HRD said is “a step towards an informed and developing India.”
The press release announcing the deal says Live@Edu currently has 22 million users, so the addition of another 7.5 million is decidedly non-trival for Microsoft.
Little wonder, then, that Sanket Akerkar, Managing Director, Microsoft Corporation India Private Limited says "We are delighted with the confidence posed by AICTE in Microsoft.” ®
