Honda CB125R vs KTM Duke 125: The launch of KTM Duke 125 along with the Honda CB300R has an indirect connection for the Indian street bike fans. The former is the most affordable premium motorcycle of its genre while the latter is based on the same Neo-Sports Cafe concept as CB125R.

This means that the chances of Honda considering CB125R for the Indian market are all-time high next year. The 125cc engine, an under-belly exhaust system, and the sharp tank panels are the only three differences between the CB300R and the CB125R.

KTM Duke 125 comes with USD forks, wide tyres, and an all-digital console. All three features are also true for the Honda CB125R. The CB125R can help Honda eliminate the need for any other premium motorcycle in the 150cc segment as changing times are pushing more buyers towards the environment-friendly 125cc premium bikes. Here is a quick comparison between the new Honda CB125R and the KTM Duke 125.

KTM India's most affordable offering has just received a price hike for the new financial year. The KTM 125 Duke is now more expensive by Rs. 6800, and is now priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Launched late last year, the bike was introduced at a price of Rs. 1.18 lakh, which incidentally was also the asking price for the KTM 200 Duke when it was launched way back in 2012. While the price hike may seem a little steep, sales for the 125 cc motorcycle are off to a good start for the manufacturer. In fact, the 125 Duke managed to outsell the complete KTM Duke range in the country including the 200, 250 and the 390 models between December 2018 and February 2019.

While Europe gets the updated version of the KTM 125 Duke based on the new 390 Duke, the India-spec version is based on the 200 Duke and is underpinned by the Trellis frame with the single headlamp cluster and an all-digital instrument console. The bike also sports USD forks up front and a monoshock suspension setup at the rear, while braking performance comes from disc brakes at either end. The bike also gets single-channel ABS as standard with rear wheel lift protection.

The KTM 125 Duke is the most powerful offering in the 125 cc segment, and actually competes with a host of other offerings including the Bajja Pulsar NS 200, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and the newly launched Yamaha MT-15. Power on the bike comes from the 124.7 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine tuned for 14.3 bhp and 12 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

KTM Duke 790 has been spotted in India for the first time, probably at its warehouse. The big Duke is expected to debut in India by March 2019.

KTM Duke 790 was earlier speculated to launch in India along with Duke 125 in December. A couple of dealers had started accepting booking amounts too.

Now, Duke 790 has been spotted in India for the first time, in complete flesh. The premium motorcycle has reached Bajaj’s plant in Chakan, as the photos also indicate the same fact.

Currently, the most premium KTM motorcycle in India is the Duke 390. A more powerful Duke for the Indian masses could be a good thing. If the smallest Duke 125 is considered a monster, imagine what would the KTM Duke 790 feel like.

KTM Duke 125 Sales Going Strong As We Await The KTM 390 Adventure To Launch!

Sales of the KTM Duke 125, the entry-level model from the Austrian motorcycle brand in India, is going strong. In fact, KTM India has managed to supply 457 Duke 125 units to dealers, in just a week's time. The new KTM Duke 125 was launched at Rs 1.18 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi); making it the most premium 125cc motorcycle in India.
