Leadership from the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) participated in the NSDC Round Table held in New Delhi, contributing to a strategic dialogue on building a more integrated, agile and industry-responsive skills ecosystem.

The dialogue highlighted a critical shift—from stakeholder participation to ecosystem stewardship, with industry, government and skilling institutions working together to strengthen demand–supply alignment, competency-based skilling, industry-led curriculum, technology-enabled learning, robust assessment and apprenticeship pathways.

Electronics Sector Skills Council Of India (ESSCI) leadership participated as a panelist at the CII Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow for the insightful session, “Vision 2030: Uttar Pradesh as India’s AI Capital.”

The discussion explored the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence across key sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, governance and education. It also highlighted the critical role of robust infrastructure, strategic investments, innovation and industry-aligned skilling in building a strong AI ecosystem.

ESSCI reaffirmed its commitment to developing a future-ready AI and electronics workforce by strengthening industry-academia collaboration and equipping talent with emerging technology skills essential for the evolving digital economy.

Industry Consultation Workshop 2026 | ESSCI

Electronics Sector Skills Council Of India (ESSCI) successfully hosted the Industry Consultation Workshop 2026 on 24 August 2026 at the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi.

As India’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem advances rapidly, driven by emerging technologies and transformative initiatives such as PM SETU, ISM 2.0 and the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS), developing a skilled, future-ready workforce is more critical than ever.

The workshop brought together industry leaders, policymakers and key stakeholders to discuss the evolving skilling landscape, emerging technologies, changing job roles, competency requirements, and the growing need for upskilling and reskilling across the hashtag .

The deliberations emphasised the importance of stronger industry-skilling partnerships and closer alignment between workforce development and the evolving needs of electronics manufacturing, semiconductors and advanced technologies.

The workshop was enriched by the presence and insights of distinguished industry leaders:

Signed in Bengaluru on 7th August 2026, this collaboration will:

We are looking for experienced professionals, trainers, institutions, and industry partners with relevant technical expertise, training experience, and infrastructure aligned with WorldSkills requirements to support the preparation of India’s skilled competitors.

👤 Expert Nomination

Experts should preferably have:

• Relevant Degree/educational qualification

• Minimum 8 years of relevant industry and/or training experience

• Experience in IndiaSkills/WorldSkills competitor training

• Understanding of WSOS, marking methodology, assessment practices and CIS

• Access to a dedicated training team of minimum 2 trainers

• Willingness to participate in competitions, technical meetings, training programmes and international assignments, if selected

👥 Trainer Nomination

To support competitor training and technical preparation.

🏢 Training Venue Nomination

The proposed training facility should have, or be capable of providing:

• Workshop/Laboratory facilities

• Tools, equipment and machinery

• Consumables

• Safety infrastructure

• Software and digital infrastructure, wherever applicable

• Adequate space for practical training
