The Electronics Sector Skills Council of India team held a strategic meeting with the CEO of Maharashtra State Skill Development Society on 4th May 2026 to discuss transformative opportunities for strengthening Maharashtraโ€™s skill ecosystem through advanced technical training initiatives in Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs). The discussion focused on developing a collaborative โ€œWin-Winโ€ strategy to move beyond conventional vocational education and create industry-aligned training frameworks for the electronics and automation sectors.

Key highlights of the meeting included Infrastructure Optimization, Quality Upgradation, Industry Integration, trainer capacity enhancement, and modernization of ITI training systems to meet evolving industry demands. The proposed approach aims to leverage Maharashtraโ€™s extensive ITI infrastructure while bridging the gap between traditional vocational education and the technical workforce requirements of the modern Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) industry.
