Distance between Sun and Earth is given in "Hanuman Chalisa"- An Ancient Prayer

Two lines of Hindu Prayer " Hanuman Chalisa" computes this distance with great simplicity.
! जुग सहस्त्र योजन पर भानु, लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू !
This means that Sun (भानु ) is at a distance of Jug Sahastra Yojans (जुग सहस्त्र योजन- Distance Unit in Hindi)

juga means the sum of Four Yugas (1 complete Mahayuga) with unit in divine years.
Satiyuga= 4800 divine years
Tretayuga=3600 divine years
Dwaparyuga=2400 divine years
Kaliyuga=1200 divine years
Check wiki
Hindu units of time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hindu_units_of_time

So 1juga= 12000
Now next is sahastra (सहस्त्र) is common sanskrit word meaning "1000"

Next is jojan also know as Yojan that equals to 8 miles
Yojana - A Yojana (Sanskrit : योजन ) is a Vedic measure of distance that was used in ancient India. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yojana
lets calculate distance of sun from earth

According to following conversion practices that are in use as per Hindu Vedic Literature-
1 Juug = 12000
1 Sahastra= 1000
1 Yojan = 8 Miles
Thus 12000 X 1000 X 8 = 96,000,000 miles
I mile = 1.6 kms
This further implies that distance is
96,000,000 * 1.6 kms = 153,600,000 Kms..

According to Modren Astronomy and Science , we know that the earth's orbit around the sun is not a circle and is slightly elliptical. Therefore, the distance between the earth and the sun varies throughout the year.
At its nearest point on the ellipse that is the earth's orbit around the sun, the earth is 91,445,000 miles (147,166,462 kms) from the sun. This point in the earth's orbit is known as Periapsis (perihelion) and it occurs around January 3.
The earth is farthest away from the sun around July 3 when it is 94,555,000 miles (152,171,522 km) from the sun. This point in the earth's orbit is called Apoapsis (aphelion).
The average distance from the earth to the sun is 92,955,807 miles (149,597,870.691 km).

Hanuman challisa was written by Goswami Tulasidas (born 15th century) in Awadhi language who belongs to 15th century. which means the distance between Sun and earth has been calculated much more accurately than the 17th century scientists even before 2 centuries.

The Question here is not how Tulsidas calculated this distance or how he came to know about this distance. But what we have to observe is the people of that age have such knowledge, capabilities. History is not presented to us in a way it should be. There are still many elements and precious jewels of information that are being kept hidden from us.

An anthropologist proposed a game to the kids in an AfrianTribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the kids that who ever got there first won the sweet fruits. When he told them to run they all took each other hands and run together, they sat together enjoying their treats. When he asked them why they had to run like that as one could had all the fruits for himself they said: "UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad."
UBUNTU - in the Xhosa culture means "I am because we are"

Almost 90% laptops users face the problem of overheating. This overheating can cause the laptop to misbehave thereby causing internal machine failure.

Today we will see some tips to avoid overheating and keep your laptop as cool as possible.

1. Power Settings : Normally while working on laptops we keep it for charging and set the mode as “High performance”. Due to this setting it consumes more power which cause your laptop to overheat.
Remedy to this is to set you laptop in the balanced or Power saver mode.what it will do is it will consume only that amount of power that is required.

2. Surface: Normally we place our laptops on pillows or blankets,which is very comfortable to us while working.But many might not know that such surfaces Chokes the vents of you laptop and it cause it to overheat.
The Soft surface will not allow the heat to Escape and will be reflected back to internal machinery.
I recommend the best surface on which you should keep your laptops are the flat ones. Such as tables.
This will allow proper Flow of air and heat to Escape.

3.Cooling Pad : Cooling pad is another remedy to overheating of your laptops. Obviously it will cost you some Money, But Trust me its worth Investing, if you face overheating Problems.

4.Power Off Your Laptops : When you are not working on you laptop then you should switch it off rather then keeping it on standby.

I believe that above Tips will help you.

Keep visit.

Most notebooks come with a pre-loaded power management utility, in addition to Windows 7's power menu in the Control Panel. Use either one to create a custom power profile that meets your needs and work habits. It can save you valuable battery life.

Each laptop's power utility has its own set of menus, but to use the Microsoft power utility, launch Power Options from within the control panel, select one of the existing plans, click Change plan settings, and then Change advanced power settings.

In advanced power options, you will want to make a few key decisions, based on how you plan to use your notebook. Here are some of the most important choices you can make.

Display brightness: Set your brightness (from 0 to 100 percent) for use on battery and when plugged in. When plugged in, you'll want all 100 percent of your brightness, but a lower percentage is better for endurance when running on battery. The default brightness of 40 percent is a good setting, but you may want to tweak this until you find an even lower level you're can live with.

Sleep after: How many minutes of inactivity will it take before your notebook goes to sleep? If you pick too short a time, your system may go to sleep while you're staring at the screen thinking about what to write. Wait too long, and if you walk away, your notebook's battery will drain. We recommend an interval of five to ten minutes.

Dim display after and Dimmed Display Brightness: Windows 7 can dim your laptop's display after a few minutes of activity, lowering power usage without going to sleep. You can set the amount of time before the display dims and percentage brightness it dims to. We recommend you disable this feature altogether.

Turn display off after: After this period of time, your display will turn off. There's no need for this setting with sleep mode enabled because sleep will turn off your display.

System cooling policy: By default, your notebook is set to use passive cooling, instead of its fan, when you're unplugged. However, if your laptop gets hot, change this setting to Active.
