Logistics is shifting from muscle-driven to mind-driven, and that shift is reshaping who leads the industry.
At IICS 2026, our Co-Founder & COO Sadhika Kumar joined as Chief Guest for the session "The Diversity Dividend: Real World Impact of Gender-Diverse Leadership."
Here are key highlights from her session:
π Mind over muscle: With AI, IoT, and robotics, logistics is becoming less physically demanding, and new roles in technology, control towers, planning, and analytics are up for the taking.
π Inclusive by design: As decision-making becomes data-led, more women are stepping into core operational roles. When logistics becomes digital, it becomes more inclusive by design.
π Diversity drives decisions: This isn't about women versus men, it's about better problem-solving. Diverse teams reduce blind spots and build resilience across every pincode we serve.
π A two-sided shift: Safe infrastructure and training pipelines on the supply side, visible leadership roles on the demand side, and technology accelerating both.
As she put it: "The future of logistics will not be defined by gender. It will be defined by who can think systemically, act quickly, and adapt to digital transformation. For the industry, this is not a diversity agenda, it is a competitiveness agenda."
Thank you to the Warehousing Association of India and IICS Exhibition - India International Cargo Show for hosting such a meaningful conversation.
