“I can't stand it to think my life is going so fast and I'm not really living it.”

Another title that I worked on was the first Hemingway book I ever read. The Sun Also Rises (Fiesta). Even though the characters in the book don't do much, except watching bullfights and sitting at bars, getting drunk, it captures a remarkable depth of emotion. Interesting guy. Good read.

A while ago, I designed a series of book covers for some of my favorite Hemingway titles. Hemingway has a unique, matter of fact way of writing, that is always honest and raw.

A Moveable Feast was one of the books I chose. It's a memoir about his years as a struggling journalist and writer in Paris during the 1920s, and a great read!

Judith and Holofernes, painted by Artemisia Gentileschi around 1620. I saw this painting in the Uffizi and got all the . So much is happening here. Let me explain.

The artist is Artemisia Gentileschi, a female Baroque painter who was influenced by Caravaggio's dramatic art style.

One of the very few female painters of the time, she became the first female member of Accademia di Arte del Disegno (Academy of Art and Design) in .

The story of Judith and Holofernes is from the old testament, about a brave woman (Judith) who tricked and beheaded the general threatening to attack her town, on his turf and carried his severed head back in a basket like it was a melon or something.

It was a very common subject for paintings and sculptures for a long time. The moral of the story is don't underestimate women, and also don't get drunk and try to sleep with every woman you meet. Really it's not that hard.
