A self-replicating malware worm named Shai-Hulud has infected over 500 popular NPM packages, compromising developer credentials and cloud secrets through automated code injection. The worm spread rapidly by abusing stolen GitHub tokens to publish malicious packages, affecting projects with millions of weekly downloads. In response, CISA and GitHub have issued urgent alerts, urging all developers to rotate credentials, review dependencies, and enforce phishing-resistant MFA, as this marks one of the most widespread supply-chain attacks in open-source history.

A global scam called ClickTok is tricking users with over 15,000 fake TikTok Shop websites and apps. Victims are lured through fake ads, influencers, and discounts — then asked to log in or download a spyware-filled app. The fake app, SparkKitty, steals data, crypto, and can hijack accounts.
