Google Dialer Update Brings New Design to Several Smartphones
A number of smartphones including Realme, Oppo, OnePlus, and Motorola have recently received a change in their dial pad design following the latest update of the Google Dialer (Phone by Google) app.
The update mainly introduces changes to the user interface and features — with a more material design look and larger fonts. While some users welcome the fresh design, others may find it unfamiliar or less appealing.
Smartphones like Vivo, Samsung, and iPhone are not affected, as they use their own built-in dialer instead of Google’s. However, in some cases, Vivo users have noticed the change because their devices had Google auto-update enabled.
For those who are not comfortable with the new dialer and want to return to the previous version, there’s a simple solution:
Go to the Google Play Store
Search for “Phone by Google”
Uninstall the latest update
This will restore the old dialer interface. Users who prefer the new design can, of course, continue using the updated version.
