Micromax அறிமுகம் செய்யும் விண்டோஸ் கைப்பேசிகள்

Micromax நிறுவனம் விண்டோஸ் 8.1 இயங்குதளத்தினை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்ட Canvas Win W121 மற்றும் W092 எனும் இருவகையான ஸ்மார்ட் கைப்பேசிகளை அறிமுகம் செய்யவுள்ளது.
இவற்றுள் Canvas Win W121 கைப்பேசியானது 5 அங்குல அளவுடைய HD IPS தொழில்நுட்பத்தினைக் கொண்ட தொடுதிரையினையும், 1.2GHz வேகத்தில் செயலாற்றக்கூடிய Quad-Core Snapdragon 200 SoC Processor இனையும் கொண்டுள்ளதுடன், 1GB RAM மற்றும் 8GB சேமிப்பு கொள்ளளவு என்பவற்றினையும் உள்ளடக்கியுள்ளது.

இவை தவிர 8 மெகாபிக்சல்களை உடைய பிரதான கமெரா, 2 மெகாபிக்ல்களை உடைய வீடியோ அழைப்புக்களை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கான கமெரா ஆகியவற்றினையும் உள்ளடக்கியுள்ளது.

இதன் விலை 158 டொலர்கள் ஆகும்.

Canvas Win W092 கைப்பேசியானது 4 அங்குல அளவுடைய தொடுதிரை, Snapdragon 200 Quad-Core Processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB சேமிப்பு நினைவகம் என்பவற்றுடன் 5 மெகாபிக்சல்களை உடைய பிரதான கமெரா,0.3 மெகாபிக்சலை உடைய வீடியோ அழைப்புக்களை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கான கமெரா ஆகியவற்றினையும் உள்ளடக்கியுள்ளது.

இதன் விலை இந்திய பெறுமதியில் 6,500 ரூபாய் ஆகும்.

Illusive Windows 8 start menu to remain in hiding till 2015

Windows 8 users who are eagerly waiting for the estranged start menu will have to wait till 2015 to get their hands onto the feature, new report citing sources familiar with the development claims.

According to well-placed sources of ZDNet’s Mary Jo Foley, the Windows 8.1 update 2, which was to bring with it the start menu, will not be arriving until the ‘Threshold’ update – which is said to be Microsoft’s next major update and expected to release in April 2015.

“Microsoft’s operating systems group has decided to hold off on delivering a Microsoft-developed Start Menu until Threshold, the next “major” release of Windows”, notes Foley.

Foley notes that it isn’t fully clear why the update has been delayed as Microsoft is still hanging onto its strategy of adapting its latest operating system and making it friendlier for keyboard and mice users.
