Job description
-Must check styles according to the stylesheet and the page quality of books and journals
-Must check revises and ensure all the corrections have been effectively carried out
-Should adhere to the style guides and ensure accurate spelling, grammar and consistency
-Check for text layout, corrections in captions and images quality and typesetting errors
-Compile and check the final print files for any corrections and ensure 100% accuracy before it is sent to the customers.

Job opening - Trainee - Project Management

Work Location: Chennai / with transport facility
Salary at the training period for 2 months: 15K Gross
After successful completion of training Salary will be revised with designation change

Summary:
Responsible for interfacing with the client and the management of each book/article/project right from receipt of manuscript to delivery of completed book/journal/project for print production.

Skills required:
Good communication skills (both oral and written), organized, adept at planning and executing things within a timeframe, have the ability to collaborate and get things done, customer focused, alert and be able to escalate things at the right time.

Specifications: (Graduates / Postgraduates without arrears are encouraged to apply for this position)
Graduate, 0-2 experience in project management or 1-2 years’ experience in publishing with excellent English language skills; experience in handling MS Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities:
Understand the project requirements well from the author’s and publisher’s perspective and the workflow

Keep the project on track as per client’s SLA for all interim deliveries and meet the final due date. Maintain and update all paperwork for internal reporting as well as for client’s review on an ongoing basis.

Communicate and collaborate with client, author, freelancers, and internal teams to follow up on deliveries, clarify instructions and requirements, and confirm expectations and understanding effectively through email and phone calls where necessary.

Anticipate problems and escalate to key stakeholders well ahead to resolve issues and keep project on track.
Manage the project cost-effectively and ensure all services engaged for the project are charged.
