Soumik Mukherjee is our sharp-witted Head of Product Engineering. He has 15 years of experience as a programmer and solutions architect. With a vision for what Unifo's products must become, Soumik works with his team to build them, coordinates with vendors for dependencies and ensures product milestones are met seamlessly.

"It is crucial to communicate with the right stakeholders at the right time and foresee potential challenges. There is a lot to do - but my team is young and enthusiastic, so the job becomes exciting and full of insights."

We spent 3 years on research, prototyping and designing. As an industry, logistics has highly complex problems. It is difficult to build and roll out efficient solutions to them in just a few months.

We were determined to pick a problem and give it all our time and effort, till we had a product that does it justice.

This is how we built and released DaaS in 2020. The technologies used to build it - OCR and machine learning - were chosen after months of intense research.

We also intend to release DICE in the upcoming months.

It's been a long journey, and no part has been easy. But we're here for the long haul - our industry deserves the best. (3 / 3)

While we were happy to oblige, Unifo always dreams big.

That's when we wanted a tool that any customer could use, without needing customisations.

This led to us going back to the drawing board in 2018. This time, we were determined to switch from being a solutions company to a product company… (2 / 3)

Unifo started out as a partnership company in 2011. We were a small team of domain experts, using third party tools to customize solutions for our clients. Each customer faced a common problem- tons of manual data entry, time consuming practices that were error prone and tools that were difficult to use. Our end users were under a lot of pressure, and our clients wanted more efficiency and accuracy.

In a few years, we decided to build our own suite of solutions. We took multiple customer use cases, discussed pain points with companies like Flyjac, Mahindra, Nissan, etc and rolled out 10 solutions that could meet customer requirements.
