The idea of making information available to people in a visual form (map based), on ‘Need to Know’ basis for effective governance, culminated in establishment of SPARC (Spatial Planning & Analysis Research Centre Pvt. During the early years, SPARC primarily supported government institutions and NGOs in provision of map based information support for irrigation and agricultural planning, disaster ma

nagement, urban planning, social infrastructure planning; using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Satellite Remote Sensing. With passage of time, SPARC acquired advanced skills in Technology Services such as Differential GPS, Photogrammetry, Data mining/ analytics and Web/ Mobile application development. Working with its customers, SPARC also acquired strong domain expertise in application of geo-informatics the fields of forestry, land governance, urban planning, utility management, agriculture, irrigation, mining, transport planning, logistics routing, disaster management, etc. SPARC, an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, headquartered in Bhubaneswar (INDIA) currently has presence in multiple locations in India and abroad. During Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney official visit to India, SPARC Global organised Canada–India Innovation Spotlight at the Canada House, New Delhi. The session was chaired by the Honourable Maninder Sidhu , Minister of International Trade of Canada, and attended by senior officials from Canada, and industry leaders across various sectors.

Arnav Mishra, CEO, and Parsa Riahi, CTO SPARC Global, presented SPARC’s innovative GeoAI solutions across mining, forestry, agriculture and e-governance. Hon. Minister Sidhu presided over a roundtable discussion hosted by SPARC on technology innovation in mining and critical mineral strategy. Discussions were aligned with the renewed India–Canada Strategic Partnership, including cooperation in critical minerals, energy transition, precision agriculture, trusted digital ecosystems, and resilient supply chains reflecting the convergence between India’s vision of and Canada’s Build agenda.

SPARC Global formalised 6 strategic MOUs to initiate structured pilot deployments across priority mining and critical mineral projects, in the presence of Hon. Minister Sidhu.
