▐ 2 दिन पहले की मेरी ICICI Bank Credit Cards की अपडेट पोस्ट पर , आजतक किसी बैंक ने ध्यान नहीं दिया , पर पहली बार उस पोस्ट का संज्ञान लिया गया है ! मैंने भी कमेन्ट चेप दी है ! की पहले तो ये बताए की तुम असल मे कोई इंसान हो की कोई हो ।।!
[ असली इंसान की जगह, सॉफ्टवेयर द्वारा स्वयं संचालित सॉफ्टवार जिसे bot कहा जाता है ! जो इस तरह की किसी भी Tag की हुई complain मे नीचे कमेन्ट मे मीठी मधुर बातों से आपको अहसास करवाते है , की वो कितने फिक्रमंद है ]

आपकी इस समस्या के लिए ! पर घंटा कुछ करते नहीं ! लोगों को लगता है की यह किसी प्रतिनिधि द्वारा किया गया कमेन्ट है , कभी कभी तो नाम भी होते है, और वहाँ भी फीमैल नाम ज्यादा उपयोग होते है, जिससे शिकायत कर्ता ठंडा और विनम्र हो जाता है :-)
आंकड़ों मे बताऊँ तो , आज इंटरनेट का 30% ट्रैफिक इन chatbots से बी फालतू भरा पड़ा है !

વેબસાઇટના પ્રોફાઇલ પેજમાં પોતાની જન્મતારીખ લખવાનું બને ત્યાં સુધી ટાળો. વ્યક્તિની identity/ઓળખ તફડાવતા ગઠિયાઓ પાસે જન્મતારીખની વિગત આવી જાય તો તેના થકી તેઓ એ વ્યક્તિની અન્ય વિગતો (જેવી કે નામ-સરનામું) જાણી શકે છે અને ત્યાર બાદ તેના બૅંક અકાઉન્ટથી માંડીને ક્રેડિટ કાર્ડ સુધીની બધી માહિતી મેળવી શકે છે.
ઘરનું પૂરૂં સરનામું, ટેલિફોન નંબર તેમજ મોબાઇલ નંબર જેવી વિગતો પણ પ્રોફાઇલ પેજમાં ટાળી શકાય તેવી છે. અટક સહિત આખું નામ લખવાને બદલે માત્ર નામ લખો એ હિતાવહ છે.
ઘણા લોકો પોતાના પરિવારને લગતી વિગતો બહુ સહજ રીતે facebook જેવી વેબસાઇટ્સ પર રજૂ કરી દેતા હોય છે. ઘણા પોતાની તસવીરો સુદ્ધાં સાઇટ પર મૂકતા હોય છે. આઇડેન્ટિટી થેફ્ટના કિસ્સા આવા કેસમાં વધી જવા પામે છે.
બૅંક સાથે, વીમા કંપની સાથે તેમજ ક્રેડિટ કાર્ડ કંપની સાથે વ્યવહાર ચલાવવા માટે જે ઇ-મેલ વાપરો તે બને ત્યાં સુધી social networking સાઇટમાં ન વાપરો. આવી સાઇટ્સ માટે જુદું ઇ-મેલ અકાઉન્ટ બનાવો અને મિત્રો-સગાં સાથેનો સંદેશાવ્યવહાર તે ઇ-મેલ મારફત કરો.
ઇમેલ તેમજ એસ.એમ.એસ. માર્કેટિંગના ઘોડાપૂરથી બચવું હોય તો બને ત્યાં સુધી પોતાના મોજશોખના તેમજ રસના વિષયો facebook જેવી વેબસાઇટ્સ પર જાહેર ન કરો.

સ્માર્ટ ફોનથી પણ પાતળું ટીવી..............................

વિશ્વના સૌથી મોટા ટેક્નોલોજી શો કન્ઝુમર ઇલેક્ટ્રોનિક્સ શો (સીઇએસ-૨૦૧૨)માં ઇન્ટેલ, એલજી, સેમસંગ સહિત ઘણી કંપનીઓએ પોતાની નવા પ્રોડકટ્સ લોન્ચ કરી છે. નવા પ્રોડકટ્સમાં સ્માર્ટ ફોનથી પણ પાતળું ટીવી, ઇશારાથી ચાલનાર લેપટોપ, વિશ્વના સૌથી પાતળા અને અવાજથી નિયંત્રિત થનારા ટીવીનો પણ સમાવેશ થાય છે.

ઇન્ટેલના ઉપાધ્યક્ષ મૂલી ઇડેને લેનોવા, એસર, સેમસંગ, તોશિબા, એલજી અને એચપી દ્વારા રજુ કરવામાં આવનાર અલ્ટ્રાબુક્સની સાથે અત્યાધુનિક પ્રોટોટાઇપ નિકિસકી લેપટોપ પણ રજુ કર્યું. તે વિન્ડોઝ-૮થી સુસજ્જ છે. નિકિસકીમાં કી-બોર્ડની નીચે પારદર્શક ટચ પેડ છે. લેપટોપ બંધ રહેવાની સ્થિતિમાં તેનો સ્ક્રીન ટચ પેડ પેનલ દ્વારા બહારથી દેખાય છે. તેનાથી લેપટોપને સંપૂર્ણ રીતે ખોલ્યા વગર ટેબલેટની જેમ કામ લઇ શકાય છે.

અવાજ સાંભળીને ચાલશે ટીવી : સેમસંગ અવાજથી નિયંત્રિત થનારી ટેકનિક વિકસાવી રહ્યું છે. તેના સ્માર્ટ ટીવીના વોઇસ ફંક્શનને ઓન કરવા માટે માત્ર હાય ટીવી બોલવું પડશે.

સ્માર્ટ ફોનથી પણ પાતળું ટીવી : એલજીએ ૫૫ ઇંચનું ઓએલઇડી ટીવી રજુ કર્યું છે. આ ટીવીની જાડાઇ માત્ર ૪ મિ.મી. છે. સરખામણીની દ્રષ્ટિએ તે સેમસંગ ગેલેકસી એસ-૨ સ્મોર્ટ ફોનથી પણ પાતળું છે. એલજીએ અલ્ટ્રા ડેફિનેશનનો ઉપયોગ કરીને ૮૪ ઇંચનું ટીવી રજુ કરવાની જાહેરાત કરી છે.

તાર વગર ફોટો ટ્રાન્સફર : એસડી એસોસિએશને રજુ કરેલા મેમરી કાર્ડમાં વાયરલેસ લેન ફિચર હશે. એટલે કે, તાર વગર તસવીરો, વીડિયો અને અન્ય ડેટા કેમેરામાંથી ટ્રાન્સફર કરી શકાશે.

નવી દિલ્હી – ભારતીય કમ્પ્યુટર સિક્યૂરિટી નિષ્ણાતોએ શોધી કાઢ્યું છે અને તમામ વાઈ-ફાઈ યુઝર્સને સાવધ કરી દીધા છે કે દેશમાં વાઈ-ફાઈ નેટવર્ક પર વાઈરસ એટેકનું જોખમ છે જેને લીધે સિક્યોર નેટવર્ક્સ ક્રેશ થવા કે હેક થવાનો સંભવ છે.
ભારતમાં કમ્પ્યુટર સિક્યૂરિટીને લગતા બનાવોમાં પગલા લેવા માટે રચવામાં આવેલી એજન્સી, ઈન્ડિયન કમ્પ્યુટર ઈમરજન્સી રિસ્પોન્સ ટીમે શોધી કાઢ્યું છે કે વાઈ-ફાઈ પ્રોટેક્ટેડ સેટઅપ (WPS)માં એક એવી ડિઝાઈન ક્ષતિ છે જેને કારણે નેટવર્ક પર વાઈરસનો એટેક થઈ શકે છે અને એટેકર ક્ષતિગ્રસ્ત સિસ્ટમમાં ગેરકાયદેસર રીતે એક્સેસ કરવામાં સફળ થઈ શકે છે.
કમ્પ્યુટર ટર્મિનોલોજીમાં આને બ્રુટ-ફોર્સ એટેક કહેવાય છે. આ એવો પ્રોગ્રામ છે જેનો ઉપયોગ એન્ક્રિપ્ટેડ અને પાસવર્ડ પ્રોટેક્ટેડ સિસ્ટમમાં ઘૂસણખોરી કરવા માટે કરાય છે.

ઇન્ટરનેટની facebook.com જેવી social networking વેબસાઇટ થકી મિત્રોસગાં સાથે સતત સંપર્કમાં રહેતા લોકો માટે વોર્નંગ સિગ્નલ જેવો એક અહેવાલ થોડા વખત પહેલાં અમેરિકાના વોલ સ્ટ્રીટ જર્નલ નામના અખબારમાં છપાયો. અહેવાલ મુજબ facebook તથા તેના જેવી બીજી social networking વેબસાઇટ્સ તેમના રજીસ્ટર્ડ યુઝર્સનો ખાનગી ડેટા જાહેરાત કંપનીઓને વેચીને તગડો નફો રળે છે. આ રીતે ચોરીછૂપી વેચવામાં આવતા ડેટામાં મુખ્યત્વે યુઝરનું પૂરૂં નામ-સરનામું, જન્મતારીખ, ઇ-મેલ, મોબાઇલ નંબર, ભણતરને લગતી વિગતો તેમજ અંગત જીવનને લગતી માહિતી હોય છે. આ માહિતીના આધારે ત્યાર બાદ જાહેરાત કંપનીઓ પોતાની જે તે ચીજવસ્તુઓની કે સેવાઓની જાહેરાત કરતા થોકબંધ ઇમેલ્સનો તથા મોબાઇલ એસ.એમ.એસ.નો મારો ચલાવવો શરૂ કરી દે છે.
ટૂંકમાં, વેબસાઇટ પર રજિસ્ટર થયેલા યુઝરનો ખાનગી ડેટા લગીરે ખાનગી રહેતો નથી. પ્રાયઇસી પોલિસીને લગતાં આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય ધારાધોરણો મુજબ કોઇ પણ વેબસાઇટ પોતાના ગ્રાહકની મંજૂરી લીધા વિના તેનો પર્સનલ ડેટા કોઇ ત્રાહિત વ્યક્તિને કે કંપનીને આપી શકે નહિ. બીજી તરફ social networking વેબસાઇટ્સ તેમના કરોડો ગ્રાહકોના ડેટાનું જાહેરાત કંપનીઓને પાછલે બારણે વેચાણ કરી પ્રાઇવસી પોલિસીના ધોરણોનો ભંગ કરી રહી છે. આવી વેબસાઇટ્સ પર કડક કાયદાની લગામ નાખી શકાય એ માટે અમેરિકામાં હાલ કાર્યવાહીઓ થઇ રહી છે. દરમ્યાન facebook જેવી વેબસાઇટ્સનો ઉપયોગ કરનાર લોકોએ પોતાના ખાનગી ડેટાની લ્હાણી થતી અટકાવવા સારુ થોડા સજાગ બન્યા વિના આરો નથી.

you’ve probably seen that Windows 7 does a lot to make window management easier: you can “dock” a window to the left or right half of the screen by simply dragging it to the edge; similarly, you can drag the window to the top of the screen to maximize it, and double-click the window top / bottom border to maximize it vertically with the same horizontal width. What you might not know is that all these actions are also available with

keyboard shortcuts:

◦Win+Left Arrow and Win+Right Arrow dock;

◦Win+Up Arrow and Win+Down Arrow maximizes and restores / minimizes;

◦Win+Shift+Up Arrow and Win+Shift+Down Arrow maximizes and restores the vertical size.


Installing from a USB Memory Stick.
we wanted to install Windows 7 :
I took a spare 4GB USB 2.0 thumbdrive,
reformatted it as FAT32, and
simply copied the contents of the Windows 7 Beta ISO image to the memory stick using

xcopy e:\ f:\ /e /f (where e: was the DVD drive and f: was the removable drive location).

Not only was it easy to boot and install from the thumbdrive, it was also blindingly fast: quicker than the corresponding DVD install on my desktop machine.

It’s also worth noting in passing that Windows 7 is far better suited to a netbook than any previous operating system: it has a much lighter hard drive and memory footprint than Windows Vista, while also being able to optimize for solid state drives (for example, it switches off disk defragmentation since random read access is as fast as sequential read access, and it handles file deletions differently to minimize wear on the solid state drive).
