Anritsu Corporation is pleased to announce the July 13 launch of the MU887002A-007 hardware option to extend the upper frequency of its TRX Test Module MU887002A for the Universal Wireless Test Set MT8870A/MT8872A from 6 GHz to 7.3 GHz.
　
With this hardware option, the MT8870A/MT8872A now supports RF tests of the 6 GHz band (5.925 to 7.125 GHz) used by the IEEE 802.11ax and NR-U standards, helping increase the efficiency of Wireless communication device production lines.

The ME7873NR achieved world-first certification by for NR FR2 NSA mode RRM tests at the PTCRB meeting in June 2021 following GCF approval at the CAG meeting in April 2021.

FR2 RRM tests focus on measuring UE connection stability and mobility operation as key tests in assuring effective use of limited wireless resources.

Background to Korean eCall-
Immediately after an accident, the eCall IVS makes an emergency voice call to the emergency response center (PSAP2) to send details about the accident; this will dispatch an emergency rescue team and is expected to help save lives by reducing deaths from serious injuries.

South Korea is making fast progress in development of its eCall system, which will be mandatory in all new vehicles.
