There's an AI model in progress, built by a US MedTech company, that detects lung disease from CT scans and MRI reports.

But here's the catch.
AI doesn't learn from scans on its own.
Every scan needs a specialist to label them, outline and trace organs.

But hiring radiologists in-house was expensive.

Here's what we did:

We built a dedicated team of expert radiologists and imaging specialists to label and review the scans.

✅Every scan went through multiple levels of quality checks.
✅Labelled and reviewed scans at a fraction of the local hiring cost.
✅98.9% Detection Accuracy.
✅Followed strict data privacy standards.

The result: a ready-to-scale foundation for their AI model. 30,000+ scans annotated at 65% lower cost than local hiring.

Original archives are fragile, have inconsistent formats, and span centuries. We protect, preserve, and transform the archival collections of government institutions, museums, libraries and galleries into valuable knowledge systems.

Recently, we extracted and preserved 260 years of civic history into a spatial database despite the complex timelines. Now, we are bringing the same expertise to Archives*Records 2026 in New Orleans with:
Mr. Aedan Andreason – Business Development Manager
Mr. Sandeep Mathew Varghese – Head of Strategic Accounts & Growth

If you are navigating the challenges of building an archival ecosystem on your own, let’s set up a time to connect at the event. Comment below or message us in private.

As the demand for research-ready digital assets grows, we are constantly innovating in the fields of efficient extraction and knowledge management.

We specialise in converting the raw data assets of organisations and government institutions into AI-ready information ecosystems with Actigen. With the same technology, we processed 6.5 million herbarium sheets into a research-ready resource for a Botanic Garden, in the UK.

With two decades of experience building intelligent, data-ready systems, we are now coming to Archives*Records 2026 in New Orleans:
• Mr. Aedan Andreason – Business Development Manager
• Mr. Sandeep Mathew Varghese – Head of Strategic Accounts & Growth
There's a lot to explore in what an AI-ready data ecosystem makes possible — let's connect at the event and discuss it in detail. Message us to schedule a meeting on-site.

Highlights from Archiving 2026

Sandeep Mathew, our Head of Strategic Accounts and Growth and Aedan Andreason, our Business Development Manager, spent last week deep in conversation with digital preservation leaders from prestigious institutions.

It was an honor to meet people who already knew SBL — current partners, and others whose previous organizations had worked with us.

The event was one of a kind and we are back with the highlights.

The center of discussion was how metadata is the real bottleneck.

Traditionally, relevant metadata is semi-manually prepared for each document as it's digitized. Even the most advanced capturing setups can accelerate the pace of preservation only as fast as their metadata team can keep up.

At SBL, we've proven there's a better way.

We take hundreds of thousands of images from our clients and break them into individual, metadata-rich documents for library integration — all while transcribing them for natural-language search.

Another highlight from the event is how real knowledge is still waiting to be digitized. Both students and employees rely heavily on hallucinating LLM models, while genuine history awaits digitization in archival institutions, museums, and university special collections. Partnering with SBL is the fastest and most secure way to change that.

With 2,500+ digital transformation projects delivered globally, we've worked with governments, national archives, and enterprises to build secure digital knowledge platforms.

From 29 July to 1 August 2026, SBL will be at Archives Records 2026 in New Orleans.

Archives today are evolving beyond digitisation. The next phase is creating trusted, AI-ready information ecosystems where historical records become searchable, connected, governed and actionable.

For over two decades, SBL has partnered with governments, national archives, libraries and enterprises to transform complex information into secure digital knowledge platforms. Our expertise spans intelligent document processing, AI-powered knowledge management, semantic search, digital preservation, records governance, and enterprise AI solutions built for real-world operations.

With 2,500+ digital transformation projects delivered globally, we help organisations unlock the full value of their information while maintaining governance, compliance and long-term preservation.
If you're attending Archives*Records 2026, we'd love to explore how AI and intelligent digital transformation can support your organisation's next chapter.

For the past two decades, we've worked with organizations managing and preserving cultural heritage, historic collections, and valuable archival data for generations, and making this knowledge accessible to researchers, institutions and communities as an episodic memory.

Mr. Sandeep Mathew, the Head of Strategic Accounts and Growth, will be at Boston for Archiving 2026 and would love to connect with fellow attendees and exhibitors who want to explore archival transformation.

Comment below and let's schedule a meeting on-site.
