WickedLeaks have come up with the Galaxy Note 3 competitor. The new phablet called the Wammy Titan 3 sports a similar profile as the Note 3.

Have a look at the Wammy Titan 3- The display is exactly 5.7 inches. That’s the same as the Galaxy Note 3. The back side of the Titan 3 sports a stitched leather look, which also seems to match with the Note 3’s back panel. Even the camera and led flash placement seems to echo the same line as that of Galaxy Note 3.

The best part of this Wammy phablet seems to be its ultraslim design which makes it thinner and slightly larger than the Note 3. The Titan 3 has got a dimension of 157 x 81.5 and thickness of 7.9 mm, while the Note 3 sports a dimension of 151.2 x 79.2 and is 8.3 mm thin.

The Titan 3 however differs in specs. It has a MediaTek MTK 6589 Turbo Quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM and comes with 16GB which could be extended up to 64GB. The phone sports a full HD display. This is a dual-sim phablet with IPS display supported by a with scratch resistant Dragon Trail Glass. It runs the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS and carries a camera of 13 megapixel.

You don’t get a stylus with this Titan 3 as Note 3 from Samsung. But the price will surely attract you. The Wammy Titan 3 has been priced at Rs. 16990, while the Note 3 comes at about Rs. 47000. WickedLeaks saves you Rs. 30K straight!

Microsoft has responded to reports that owners of its new Xbox One console are experiencing problems with the disc drive by offering a free download.

Some users have said the drive makes very loud noises when they try to insert a disc and in some cases is not reading discs at all.

Microsoft said only a very small number of users are affected.

The Xbox One was launched on Friday and sold more than one million units in the first 24 hours.

In a statement Microsoft said that those customers who had reported problems and were waiting for a replacement console would be provided "with a free digital download of one of the launch titles published by Microsoft studios."

More than 150 people contacted Kotaku, a gaming news website, claiming their new consoles were faulty. Other users uploaded videos apparently showing the problem to the gaming forum NeoGAF.

The Xbox One is the first new console from Microsoft in eight years and it broke all previous Xbox first-day sales records when it went on sale in the UK and 12 other countries last week.

The company said it had now sold out at most retailers and it was working to replenish stock as fast as possible.

Google Patents Software for Managing Social Media

Google has reportedly patented plans for software that would help people better manage their social media presence by posting on the user's behalf. The software slowly learns how one reacts on social networks and can mimic their usual responses to updates and messages from friends and relations to help cope with the daily data deluge.
According to the BBC, the software also analyses continuing interaction and flags messages that demands a more personal response.
Google software engineer Ashish Bhatia said that it is often difficult for users to keep up with and reply to all the messages they are receiving and the software is intended to help them manage the data.

Intel is reportedly thinking beyond Microsoft when it comes to a full-fledged 'client' operating system, and the best bet today for it is Google's Android.

The chipmaker's general manager, Kirk Skaugen said that for the last decade they have been essentially 100 percent Microsoft but now with the emerging markets demand for Android is seen.

According to Cnet, Skaugen explained that Android apps are written for phone, in portrait mode, and a significant percentage doesn't exist in landscape mode for larger screens.

He further said that Intel is going to scale Android to 64-bit and allow it to scale from Atom processors to the high-end of the Core processor family and get it into larger scale screens and allow multi-windowing.

The report said that Intel's plans for Android would apparently take the smartphone OS to a territory that was once exclusive to Windows. (ANI)

HTC launches 'Fetch', a tracker device for its mobile phones at Rs 2,500

Smartphone maker HTC has launched a tracking device called Fetch that can help display handset locations on Google Maps and alert owners when they leave their instruments behind.

"You will never lose you HTC phone if you have Fetch. This can be paired (connected wirelessly) with any HTC One series phone. As soon as an HTC One owner walks 10 meters beyond the phone, both device and phone will start ringing. An e-mail will immediately go on his mail showing location of the phone on Google Maps," HTC India's Country Head Faisal Siddiqui said here.

The company introduced the tracker on Friday along with the HTC One Max, which has a maximum retail price of Rs 61,490. The new phone is offered by some retailers at Rs 56,490 and customers will have to pay an additional Rs 2,500 for Fetch.

Siddiqui said HTC Fetch uses the Global Positioning System (GPS), Assisted GPS and mobile-tower triangulation technology to detect a phone's location.

He said it will be difficult to steal an HTC One Max that is paired with Fetch because the phone has a finger scanner and will open only after recognising the owner's fingerprint.

"A thief will not be able unpair Fetch from HTC One Max as his fingerprint will not match. This will not allow him to change any setting in the phone," he said.
