"So what did the loyalty program actually deliver this quarter?"

If you run CRM or loyalty, you know that question. Usually from the CFO. Usually on a Thursday. Usually answered with a deck your team spent three weeks stitching together. 😅

And here's what most of us won't say out loud: we often can't answer it cleanly. Not because the program isn't working. Because the proof is scattered.

The 2026 data says you're far from alone:
📊 Only 9% of loyalty program owners face no challenges analysing their loyalty data. Everyone else is wrestling with it.
🧩 Nearly a third struggle to specify which purchases actually happened because of the program.
⏳ Nearly a third of teams spend six or more hours a week just fixing and reconciling data instead of driving growth.
🙊 And 38% admit campaign data is at times manipulated to make results look better to leadership, with the C-suite rate nearly double that.

That last one should stop us all.

When the numbers can't tell a clean story, people start telling a convenient one.

The root cause is rarely the loyalty program itself. It's that your customer lives in five places.

The POS knows the purchase. The app knows the session. Email knows the open. The delivery app knows the order, and keeps it. The loyalty engine knows the points.

Five partial records. Zero complete customers.

So the loyalty head becomes a part-time data archaeologist, digging through exports to prove something they already know is true. ⛏️

That's the exact problem we built Reciproci [www.reciproci.com] around. A unified CDP that stitches every channel into a single view of each customer. AI segmentation that shows which cohorts actually moved and which didn't. And gamified loyalty running on that same data, so engagement and revenue finally live in one place instead of five dashboards.

Less time defending the program. More time growing it.

So, for the CRM and loyalty leaders here, I'd genuinely love to know:
What's the one number you wish you could put in front of your CFO, but can't cleanly prove today? Comment 👇

Uncomfortable question for anyone running a loyalty program:

How much of your reward budget is going to customers who would have bought anyway? 💸

In loyalty audits of D2C brands, one finding keeps repeating: 50 to 60% of the promotional and reward budget goes to customers who would likely have purchased regardless.

Read that again. More than half. Paying people to do what they were already going to do.

There's a name for it. Incrementality. Or rather, the absence of it.

Here's how it happens. Your most frequent, least price-sensitive customer, the one who genuinely loves you, hits every points threshold first. So they collect the most rewards.

Meanwhile the customer who bought once and is quietly drifting away gets the same generic offer as everyone else, or nothing at all.

You're subsidising loyalty you already had. And underinvesting in the loyalty you could still win.

Worse, you're training your best customers to wait for the deal. 📉

The uncomfortable truth is that most loyalty programs measure correlation and call it success. "Members spend more than non-members." Of course they do. They were already your best customers. That's why they joined.

Correlation is not causation. And a program that can't tell the difference is just an expensive discount machine.

So what actually works?

Stop asking "what reward should we give members."

Start asking "which customer are we trying to influence, what behaviour do we want to change, and what is that change actually worth?"

That's a segmentation problem before it's a rewards problem. You cannot spend precisely if you cannot see precisely.

Which is exactly where we've focused Reciproci [www.reciproci.com]. AI-powered segmentation that shows you who is genuinely at risk, who is about to grow and who needs no nudge at all. A unified customer view so the signal is real. And gamified, status-led mechanics that reward engagement instead of discounting it.

Because the goal was never to give away more. It was to give the right thing, to the right person, at the moment it actually changes something.

So, honest question for the marketers and founders here:

Has your loyalty program ever been measured for true incrementality? Or just for correlation? 👇

I suspect the answer is uncomfortable for more of us than we'd admit.

15/09/2026

Your customer already decided whether they'll come back.

They made the call in about 7 seconds🧠. And they have no idea they made it. 🤔

Here's the uncomfortable science most brands ignore:

95% of purchasing decisions happen in the subconscious. Before logic. Before the spreadsheet in their head. Before they've "thought about it." The emotional brain decides, and the rational brain just shows up later to justify it (Harvard, Gerald Zaltman).

So while you're busy optimising price, features and points, your customer's brain is quietly asking a completely different question:

"How does this brand make me feel?"

And the answer to that question is worth a fortune.

🧠 70% of brand decisions are emotional. Only 30% are rational (Gallup).
💰 Emotionally connected customers have 306% higher lifetime value.
⏳ They stay 5.1 years on average, versus 3.4 for merely satisfied ones.
📣 They're 3x more likely to recommend you.

Read that again. Not "satisfied" customers. Emotionally connected ones. Because here's the twist almost nobody acts on:

A satisfied customer is not a loyal customer.

Satisfaction is rational. It says "this was fine, this was fair." And "fine" is exactly what your competitor's 10%-off email is designed to steal. You cannot out-satisfy your way to loyalty. Satisfaction is the floor, not the bond.

Emotion is the bond. Feeling recognised. Feeling like a regular. Feeling a small spark of delight when a brand does something thoughtful and unexpected.

That's the stuff the subconscious remembers. That's what it reaches for next time, automatically, before logic even wakes up.

So the real question isn't "are our customers satisfied?"

It's "do our customers feel anything at all?"

This is exactly what we help brands build at Reciproci [www.reciproci.com]. Loyalty designed for the emotional brain, not just the rational one. Gamified moments that spark genuine delight. Recognition and status that make customers feel seen. Community that creates real belonging. And AI-powered segmentation so every one of those emotional moments lands with the right person.

Because your customer's brain already decided.

The only question is whether you gave it a reason to choose you. ❤️

Unpopular opinion: most loyalty programs are just discounts wearing a costume. 🎭

Think about it.

"Earn points, get money off." That's not loyalty. That's a delayed coupon.

Real loyalty is when a customer picks you even when you're NOT the cheapest.

When they'd feel a little sad if you disappeared.

When they tell a friend without being paid to.

You can't buy that with 10% off. You build it with status, recognition, belonging and experiences a discount can never replicate.

So here's my honest question for the , and folks here:
When was the last time a points program made you actually love a brand?

(And if you're rethinking what real loyalty looks like, that's the whole reason we built Reciproci → www.reciproci.com)

18/08/2026

Soon, your customer won't open your app.
Their AI agent will. 🤖

It'll check their points, redeem the reward, book the table, and if your brand underdelivers, quietly switch them to a competitor. No human hesitation. No brand loyalty. Just optimisation.

Euromonitor calls it "Loyagentic," and it's their number one loyalty trend for 2026. AI agents that act for the customer: initiating engagement, applying rewards and triggering actions with zero manual input.

Think about what that actually means for brands.

For years, we designed loyalty for humans. Emotional nudges. Clever creative. A well-timed push notification. But an AI agent doesn't feel FOMO. It doesn't get charmed by your campaign. It reads the data, weighs the value, and decides.

The numbers show how fast this is arriving:
🤖 AI-influenced e-commerce is forecast to exceed $700 billion by 2029 (Euromonitor).
⏱️ Customers already disengage within 5 seconds if an experience feels irrelevant (Adobe).
🛒 Around a quarter of shoppers are expected to interact with retail AI chatbots in 2026.

So here's the uncomfortable question every brand needs to answer:
When an algorithm is deciding on your customer's behalf, is your brand even legible to it?

Because agents don't reward vague. They reward clarity. Clean data. Relevant offers. A brand that knows exactly who this customer is and what they value, in real time.

And that's the part most brands aren't ready for. Their customer data is scattered across app, store, email and web. No unified view. No real-time segmentation. Nothing an agent, or even their own team, can act on cleanly.

This is where Reciproci [www.reciproci.com] gives brands a head start.

We may not be sci-fi yet, but we build the foundation the agentic era runs on. AI-powered customer segmentation that sorts your audience by real behaviour, not guesswork. A unified omnichannel CDP that turns scattered data into one clear profile. And real-time engagement that acts on the right signal at the right moment.

Put simply: before an AI agent can serve your customer well, someone has to make that customer's data is clean, unified and intelligible. That's what we do today, so you're ready for what's coming next.

The brands that win the agentic era won't be the ones with the flashiest bot.

They'll be the ones whose customer data was ready when the agents arrived.

On the pre-afternoon of India's 80th Independence Day, from all of us at the family

Tomorrow morning, somewhere in India, a child will stand in a school assembly and sing the National Anthem without fully knowing what it cost to earn it. That is the truest measure of freedom: that it feels ordinary.

Seventy nine years ago, we inherited a country written off as too poor, too plural, too complicated to survive. Look at us now.

This July, a rocket 🚀 built by a startup in Hyderabad reached orbit. Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1 lifted off from Sriharikota on 18 July 2026 and placed its upper stage in a 450 km orbit, making India the third country in the world with private orbital launch capability.

A generation ago, we were carrying rocket parts on bicycles 🚲 . Today India counts more than 400 space startups. That is not incremental progress. That is a civilisational leap.

Our defence scientists have matched that pace. DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India's maiden flight test of the Kusha long range surface to air missile intercepted a high speed aerial target off the Odisha coast, a capability only a handful of nations possess. Agni-4 was successfully test fired from Chandipur on 6 August 2026, validating every operational and technical parameter. And our scramjet engine ran for over 12 minutes on the ground, a path breaking step toward hypersonic flight. Every one of those is built here, by Indians, for India.

Meanwhile, silicon chips are finally being assembled and tested on Indian soil in Sanand, and Dholera targets first silicon by the end of this year.

UPI moves more transactions than any payments network on earth. Indian founders are building for the world, not just for India.

At TechTreeIT Systems (P) Ltd, Reciproci, Nukebox Studios, DevotionVerse Nirman and PeopleTree Education Society, we live at the intersection of exactly this: enterprise technology, gaming, loyalty and engagement, our spiritual + sacred heritage, and the education of the next generation....Vikas and Virasat - [ Progress and Roots ]. We have never believed we must choose.

To every Indian at home, and to every Non Resident Indian carrying this flag in their heart across 200 countries, thank you. You are not away from India. You are India, abroad.

Happy 80th Independence Day. Jai Hind. 🇮🇳

83% of brands think their customers feel valued…
…Only 56% of customers actually do!!!

Sit with that gap for a second. Because it is quietly draining revenue from almost every brand reading this. 👇

I went deep into the 2026 loyalty data this week, and a single theme kept surfacing: brands are confident, customers are not. The two are living in different realities.

Here's what the numbers reveal:
📊 83% of marketers believe they make members feel valued. Only 56% of consumers agree (Antavo). That's a 27-point delusion gap.
🚪 81% of US shoppers abandoned at least one brand in the last year (SCAYLE). Loyalty has never been more fragile.
🔀 65% have switched brands specifically because a loyalty program failed to deliver a better experience (Wiser). The program meant to retain them became the reason they left.
🤫 Silent churn is rising. 30% of customers now leave without ever complaining. No feedback. No warning. They just stop.
⚡ And a new breed has emerged: "Trend Loyal" customers, roughly 14% of shoppers, who form intense but short-lived attachments, and 29% lose interest the moment the product stops trending.

So the picture is clear. Customers are more selective, more silent and more fickle than ever. And most brands don't even realise they're losing them.

But here's the other half of the data, the hopeful half:
💚 57% of consumers spend more on brands they're loyal to.
🛒 You have a 60-70% chance of selling to an existing customer, versus 5-20% for a new one.
📈 Loyalty program owners who track ROI report an average 5.3x return.
🤝 65% of shoppers will happily share their data for value-adding personalisation.

Read those two lists together and the lesson writes itself.

Loyalty in 2026 isn't won by assuming customers feel valued. It's won by proving it, on every interaction, with real recognition, real relevance and real reward.

The brands that close the perception gap don't just retain more customers. They unlock the 5.3x, the higher spend, the willingly shared data, all of it.

So we built Reciproci [www.reciproci.com] to kill the guesswork.
Value they can see, not value you hope they feel. Personalisation that says "we know you" instead of "we have your email." And an omnichannel CDP that taps you on the shoulder before a customer slips away, while there's still time to win them back.

The most dangerous words in retail right now are "our customers love us."

The data says: maybe. Have you checked, or are you just hoping?

Quit just hoping…..Talk to Us and BRIDGE THIS GAP: https://reciproci.com/contact | DM Amit Rautela

04/08/2026

65% of marketers think customers come back because they love the brand.

Fewer than 1 in 4 customers agree. 😬

That gap has a name now. Analysts are calling it the loyalty deficit, and it might be the most expensive misunderstanding in retail today.

Here's what the new research from Razorfish and GWI actually found: brands believe loyalty is emotional. Customers say it's practical. While marketers pour budget into "brand love," the people they're trying to keep are quietly thinking something much simpler.

"I give this brand my money, my data and my attention. What am I actually getting back?"

And too often, the honest answer is: not enough.

That's the deficit. Customers feel the relationship is imbalanced. They give more than they get. And in 2026, with every competitor one tap away, an imbalanced relationship is a leaving relationship.

The numbers around it are brutal:

💸 US businesses lose an estimated $168 billion a year to customer churn.

📉 E-commerce retention sits around just 31%.

📈 Yet a 5% lift in retention can raise profit by 25% to 95%.

So the opportunity is enormous, but only if you fix the actual problem. And the problem isn't that customers don't feel enough love. It's that they don't feel enough value coming back their way.

Here's the mindset shift that closes the deficit:

Stop asking "how do we make customers love us more."

Start asking "what are we genuinely giving back every time they engage with us?"

Real, tangible value. Status that means something. Rewards for more than just spending. Recognition that they're a person, not a transaction ID. A relationship that visibly gives as much as it takes.

That is exactly what we built Reciproci [www.reciproci.com] to deliver. Gamified loyalty that rewards engagement, not just purchases. Personalisation that makes every customer feel genuinely seen. Community that gives people a reason to belong. And an omnichannel CDP that ties it together, so the value you give back is as connected as the data you collect.

The brands winning in 2026 aren't the ones shouting "love us."

They're the ones quietly making sure the relationship never feels one-sided.

Close the deficit, and loyalty takes care of itself.

22/07/2026

Here's a number that should stop every marketer scrolling: gamified loyalty can lift customer lifetime value by 48%.
Not 4.8%. Forty-eight.
But that number doesn't happen in isolation. It's the payoff at the end of a chain, and most brands break the chain at step one.

Let me connect the dots, because these four things only work when they work together. 👇
1️⃣ It starts with a Single Customer View.
You cannot personalise what you cannot see. When your data is scattered across your app, website, store and email, every customer is a stranger four times over. Unify it into one profile, and suddenly you know who they are, what they love and when they're about to leave.
2️⃣ A single view unlocks real Gamified, Interactive Experiences.
Now you can build challenges, streaks, tiers and progress that actually mean something to that specific person. And the data backs it hard: gamification drives a 47% rise in engagement and a 22% rise in brand loyalty. 85% of consumers say they prefer brands that offer it.
Why does it work? Because points are backward-looking. Progress is forward-looking. People don't come back for a discount. They come back to finish what they started.
3️⃣ Engagement compounds into genuine Loyalty.
This is where the shift happens. You move a customer from a transactional buyer to an emotionally connected advocate. 81% of consumers say loyalty programs make them more likely to keep buying from a brand, but only when the experience feels like progress and belonging, not a punch card.
4️⃣ And loyalty is what finally drives Customer Lifetime Value.
Retention-led brands see profit increases of up to 95%. Gamified loyalty lifts CLV by 48% and conversion by 15%. This is the compounding engine: each loyal customer is worth more, stays longer and brings others.

Here's the whole point:
👀 Single View makes personalisation possible.
🎮 Gamification makes engagement irresistible.
💚 Engagement builds real loyalty.
📈 Loyalty compounds into lifetime value.

Break any link and the chain collapses. Points with no data feel random. Data with no engagement feels creepy. Engagement with no loyalty is just a sugar high.

Connect all four, and you build something a discount war and an AI price-comparison bot can never touch.

This is exactly why we built Reciproci [www.reciproci.com] as one connected system: an omnichannel CDP for a true single customer view, gamified and interactive experiences on top of it, loyalty and community to deepen the bond, all engineered to compound lifetime value.

Loyalty was never a feature. It's a chain reaction.
