The user experience is the whole process of the product. It requires pre-planning, exploration, design and quality assurance. The planning process requires data analysis, user stories and user flows. Exploration is the step which involves sketching, wire-frames, IA and prototypes. Design involves the style guide, mock-ups and hand off. Quality assurance talks about the speed test, errors and micro details. The user’s greatest satisfaction comes from the value (usefulness and usability) provided by the product, as well as the experience in terms of performance, vision.

Why is the Look and Feel phase of a Website Important?

The website’s overall look and feel is important because it instantly draws a picture of you to your clients before they even start reading the content of the site.

Before you begin a website design, check your goals against your competitors’ websites (this is called research).

The website’s personality should match the attitude of the business / company and your objectives while still fitting in with the client’s expectations of the business and industry you’re in.

Having a “look and feel” done before any development starts, allows you to make multiple changes to the website until you are happy with the entirety of the website and it components “look and feel” before the build.
