Ajay is a talented young boy from one of the villages around Bangalore. He has been passionate about art from his childhood and has made it a point to learn things, be it the hardest way. Ajay is one of those boys who will never give up, come what may. He is a learner at heart. Painting is something he is truly fond of but also something he doesn't have the privilege to try his hand at.

We at The Social Good believe that with the right inputs he has the potential to be a great artist. Please ping us if any of you want to help us in any way. Be it teaching him painting, donating the paints you have at home or funding his classes.

Let there be no regret of the country not recognizing a could-be artist!

A dog is a man’s best friend they say. Well, I can have a million of you agree to that. I bet all those who do can think of one dog that’s been the closest to them. The question here is how many of these best friends are strays?

Our generation no more likes discrimination. We do not believe in the caste system. We treat all people equally. This change did not occur out of the blue, there were protests, fights, and endless efforts from thousands of people. Thankfully, we are succeeding. All those efforts aren’t going for a waste. I brought this up because each time someone is ill-treating a stray, its a recap of history but only this time with animals. The strays are treated like untouchables; like they have no feelings, like they do not want to be loved or even deserve no empathy. They are mistreated, hurt and abandoned. No one wants to nurture them or take them home. Don’t you think they deserve equal love? Don’t you think they deserve a home too? Who is going to bring about this revolution of eradicating the whole concept of strays being ignored and ill-treated. Don’t you think its time already? If you do, then here’s your chance to be the change.

Olive is a rescued stray. A truck ran past her and she remained injured for days. She had maggots eating her from the insides. Fortunately, a girl named Mouli Khulbe picked her up and got her treated. She managed to raise the money for the surgery in her college. Olive is now being looked after by Col. Rohit Tewari in Pune. The wound has healed and she is doing totally fine now, except for the numbness on one hind leg.

There are 3 other rescued dogs in Col Rohit’s house and these dogs are having issues adjusting with Olive. So he needs someone to adopt her. Support this adoption of Olive. Most of us might have the heart but also might not be able to adopt due to other circumstances, if so, at least spread the word.

A few days ago Mouli Khulbe from SIMC, MBA 2015-17 batch came across a wounded stray puppy, Olive. Compassionate that she is, she took the dog to a veterinarian. An immediate surgery was required to pull out the maggots that were eating up Olive from the insides. She crowd-funded the money by spreading the word across SIMCians at the Lavale campus. It was a successful campaign indeed! Olive is currently being fostered by Col.Rohit Tewari's family. They have been nurturing Olive since the surgery. Here is a story of the family's commendable involvement in social work. Also, do watch the video to see how Olive is doing now!
Please help Olive find a home!
