MIT Machine Learning algorithms testing using Kannada Characters. I could not locate the name of the language mentioned anywhere, though.

Software that learns to recognize written characters from just one example may point the way towards more powerful, more humanlike artificial intelligence.

CPUDB Analysis and Visualization

This project was in the area of Data Analysis and Visualization. It applied conventional data analysis techniques of cleaning(pre-processing), visualization (exploratory analysis), statistical analysis, correlation and regression on CpuDb a dataset hosted on Stanford University).
CPU db consists data of more than 1000 processors spanning over last 40 years and is hosted at http://cpudb.stanford.edu

Our second project was about Buffer Bloat. Buffer Bloat was a problem in Computer Network Performance Modeling and Analysis using NS2. In modern networks, large size buffers have been allotted at Trasmit as well Receive side. But paradoxically, on Transmit side large buffer sizes tend to increase time (Round Trip Time or RTT)/reduce performance. Whole problem was analyzed plot how performance will deteriorate as function of Transmit buffer size.

In very first project, "Transport Planning", we implemented Optimization among multiple criteria. Optimizing on parameter is simpler, like cost, or quality at the expense of others. But when there is a need to balance between multiple, often conflicting parameters, difficulty arises. We used TOPSIS, an algorithm for optimizing across multiple criteria (like fuel, cost, passenger happiness, crew happiness). More can be found here....
