Ever ordered Swiggy, shared ‘𝘯𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘺𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨, 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘳𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘧𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘳’... and then guided the delivery guy on a 10‑minute live GPS commentary anyway?

𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐏𝐈𝐍 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐱 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬.

Developed by India Post with IIT‑Hyderabad & NRSC–ISRO, DIGIPIN is a 10‑character digital address tied to a precise 4×4 m grid – basically Aadhaar for places.

It solves the “near temple, behind bakery, opposite red gate” problem for deliveries, KYC, ONDC, emergency services and more.

In other words: a normal location says “somewhere in Koramangala 4th Block”; a DIGIPIN says “this exact doorway, not the neighbour’s.”

That means: Fewer “Ondu landmark heli sir/madam” calls.

You can get yours on the “Know Your DIGIPIN” portal: drop a pin on your house, save the code, done.

Anyone can then use that DIGIPIN via India Post / partner tools to fetch lat‑long and open it in Maps – including logistics, food delivery, fintech, gov portals, ONDC players, etc., because the standard is open and public, not locked to one app.

Caveat: today you can’t type a DIGIPIN directly into Google Maps; you have to use sites like MyDigipin to convert it to coordinates, then open in GMaps.

Would you put DIGIPIN on visiting cards, invoices, and websites once it’s mainstream?

🚨🚨𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐲𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 ...

⚠️Brace yourselves: 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐟𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐈𝐟 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 (𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲) 𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞!

Forget “𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦” - starting December, your company’s Teams account might automatically 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 whenever you connect to office Wi-Fi!

Microsoft says it’s to “𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲” and help managers know who’s on-site.

Critics? They call it 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 - maybe start of even the end of true remote flexibility.

This new feature means that every time you connect to the building’s Wi-Fi or plug into a desk, Teams updates your status for the world (or your boss) to see.

So, next time you think about working from a café (or your couch) - remember, the office just got a little smarter (and a lot nosier).

Yes, your boss will know if you’re really on-site or secretly working from home.

Remote work as you know it, is about to change a little.

Ever dragged a file into OneDrive and it just sits there… “Preparing to upload”… for eternity?

Imagine you drop 5GB of holiday photos into OneDrive before a flight - and it freezes on “Preparing” like time itself stopped.

You refresh, you wait, you pray - and nothing moves. Been there ?

Today’s breaks down easy fixes to get OneDrive unstuck - no command lines, no tech headache.

✅ Click the OneDrive cloud icon > Help & Settings > Pause syncing. Wait 60 seconds. Then Resume. This “soft reset” clears minor hiccups.

✅ Fix the usual culprits:
✅ Rename files with weird characters like \ / : * ? " < > |
✅ Avoid blocked names like AUX, COM1–COM9, desktop.ini
✅ Don’t dump thousands of files at once - upload in smaller batches
✅ Close any files that are open in Word/Excel - open files can block sync
✅ Make sure you have enough space in both your PC and OneDrive

✅ Unlink and relink (safe and simple):
OneDrive icon > Settings > Settings tab > Account > Unlink this PC. Then click the cloud again and Sign in to reconnect. Your files stay intact.

✅ Reset without panic:
If it’s still stuck, use OneDrive’s reset option from Help & Settings. It refreshes the app and kicks off a clean sync - no data loss in the cloud.

✅ Last resort:
Open Help & Settings > Get help. Microsoft Support can review logs and fast-track a fix.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮.

From tracking your location to reading your messages, many apps collect and share your data - sometimes without your full consent, and that's what today's post talks about.

A Research by Marin Marinčić, the head of IT Infrastructure at Nsoft, reveals which apps are the biggest data hogs.

No surprises here - 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭.

Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Threads, LinkedIn, Snapchat, TikTok, and X all collect massive amounts of personal data.

In fact, Meta’s apps share a staggering 68.6% of user data with third parties.

While Amazon collects a lot of data, it shares less than 6% with third parties.

YouTube, however, shares 31.4% and uses 34.3% for targeted advertising.

𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝑨𝒑𝒑𝒔 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑺𝒊𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒂:

🛑 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 – Before downloading an app, review its privacy details in the App Store or Google Play Store.

Look under the Privacy section and tap "See Details" to understand what data the app collects and how it's used.

🛑 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐀𝐩𝐩 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – Go to your phone settings and disable unnecessary permissions.

Does a fancy calculator app really need access to your contacts? Probably not. It’s a good idea to ask yourself these questions before tapping that "Allow Access" prompt when you download any new apps.

🛑 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐬 – If you haven’t used an app in months, remove it. Unused apps sitting on your phone may still be tracking and collecting data in the background.

🛑 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 – Turn off ad tracking, revoke location access where possible, and use privacy-focused browsers and search engines.

If an app is free, your data is likely the price.

Imagine you’re quickly paying a friend for dinner, but in your haste, you enter one wrong digit in the phone number.

The money instantly transfers to a complete stranger.

Or maybe you fell for a fraudulent UPI request.

Now, you’re scrambling to recover funds from someone you don’t know, who says Finders Keepers 🫨

While it may seem like your money is gone for good, that’s not necessarily true.

Today’s hashtag post will tell you how to handle such situations effectively.

1. 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐟: Take screenshots of the wrong transfer to show it was a mistake. This is critical when contacting your bank.

2. 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲: Contact your bank as soon as possible, providing all transaction details and account information involved.

3. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐍𝐏𝐂𝐈’𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦: Visit https://www.npci.org.in/what-we-do/upi/dispute-redressal-mechanism and

- Select the 'Complaint' option.
- Enter the transaction type (e.g., person-to-person or person-to-merchant), choose the issue, and describe the incident.
- Fill in all required details, including your transaction ID, bank name, UPI ID, amount sent, transaction date, email, mobile number, and your latest bank statement.
- NPCI will forward your complaint to the concerned bank or payment service provider for investigation.
- They will assess transaction details, validate your claims, and cross-check with their records.

If found to be indeed erroneous or fraudulent, the bank may reverse the transaction or take further action to recover the funds.

If not, they will communicate why the claim was denied.

4. 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐝: If your bank or NPCI does not resolve your issue within 30 days, escalate the complaint to RBI’s Banking Ombudsman.
They usually aim to mediate and resolve the issue within 30 days.
