HERE IT IS,THE CANVAS HD REVIEW:
Well to start of with,it is the price of this phone that leaves us all with a wide open mouth,because never have we seen in the mobile phone market a Quad Core phone with HD Display for a price almost half the price of a premium phone like the Samsung Galaxy S3. To give you a more insightful look into the phone i would split the review into three parts, THE GOOD ,THE BAD and THE IMPROVABLE.
THE GOOD : (1)Value For Money : Do i need to explain?
(2)The screen : It is a very clear 720P display,which has a appreciable level of brightness and all this coupled with the 5" display just gives lots of room for apps to use the screen real estate.
(3)Performance :This thing flies through all the daily tasks and handles heavy games with ease because of the MTK MT6589 Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7.
(4)Design : It is a good slim design.
(5)Pure Android : This phone runs on Jellybean 4.1 and it has little tweaks by Micromax unlike other companies like HTC and Samsung who put their own skins over the android,which some like and some dont. Micromax has done some colorful tweaks in the settings menu and some tweaks in the notification power widgets,so it is almost a pure android experience.
(6)The Battery:This phone has a 2000mAh battery which lasts for almost a day under minimal use and almost 5-6hrs on heavy usage.
THE BAD : (1)The Build Quality : This isn't surprising considering the price you pay for the phone,because one cant expect iPhone build quality on such phones.
(2)The Camera : Though a 8MP shooter,it is a pretty average camera.The low light performance isn't that great,but then again who takes photos in low light? The other thing about the camera is that you wont be able to zoom in the conventional manner,which is the pressing the volume rocker buttons,with this phone when one presses the volume rockers while in the camera app the volume increases,it doesn't mean that you cant zoom.To zoom what you have to do is PINCH at the screen and it will zoom to a 4.0x,which is pretty descent.
(3)The Internal memory: Yes,they do claim 4GB of internal memory but only 1GB is available to the user.
THE IMPROVABLE : (1)The build could have been a little less shiny at the back and could have also come with various color options.
